Beautiful Soft Light – A Must-Have Modifier for Flash Photographers!
The MagMod MagSphere has completely elevated the way I use my flash. If you’re into event photography, portraits, or on-location work, this little dome makes a huge difference in the quality of your light. What I love most is how it spreads and softens the light beautifully, giving that natural, diffused glow without harsh shadows. It’s perfect for bouncing light off walls or ceilings indoors, and it creates a very flattering look on skin—clients always notice the difference. Build quality is solid and durable, like all MagMod products. The silicone material feels tough yet flexible, and it squishes flat for easy storage in your bag. The magnetic mount system is genius—super fast and secure, no more messing around with Velcro or straps. Just snap it on and go. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than some off-brand diffusers, but you get what you pay for. The ease of use, consistency, and quality of light make it 100% worth it. Pair it with the MagGrip and other MagMod modifiers and you’ve got a portable, professional lighting system that fits in your pocket. Highly recommended for any flash user who wants soft, clean, and pro-level results.

Easy and versatile
Didn't leave my flash. One of the best purchases of gear you can make as a photographer. I've used it for events, headshots, and street shoots. Amazing and simple. A bit heavy for the hot shoe, but I usually have it mounted on a stand or in hand for those paparazzi looking photos.

This is all I use now on my AD200 Pro
Simple. I love it. Fits on my AD200 Pro (with a little muscle when putting on the band). I use this for weddings and portraits and it works very nicely to diffuse the light. I have a couple other modifiers for my AD200, one being a softbox (26" octagon) and the other is the AD-S2. What I like most about the MagMod is the size and ease of use. It's small and portable, and I can hand hold the AD200 while I shoot. If I'm getting too much direct light, I just aim it up or use it as a bounce. Very nice for run-n-gun. It can be used with my godox flash on camera flash as well, so I can swap it around as needed. In the photo, I used it in a dark wooded area with a stream to fill because the subject was backlit. Combined with the AD200, it's a great modifier and will last a long time.

Worth the hype!
Background. I own a few V1S and V100S, and I put this guy on my V100S. I was already in love with my V100S, I used a silicone diffuser, but it was small and didn't spread enough light in really dark scenarios. I was hoping that this guy would live up to they hype and I have to say, it lived up to it and then some. It's difficult to put on, I won't lie to you, but it is so beyond worth it. I actually shut off one of my softboxes because of the power of the V100S and this thing. It's incredibly functional, practical and worth every penny. Even though it looks big, it doesn't add any weight whatsoever. I can't speak to the sturdiness, but I do appreciate the array of accessories the brand offers, as well as the carrying case it came with to avoid lint on the bulb.

It works.
From all the research I did on this product, everything I read said that this would work perfectly with the Godox V100’s round head. Okay. Well, maybe if you’re Captain America or Thor. This thing is a (insert expletive word here) to stretch. I bruised my fingers trying to stretch it over the head of my flash. THEY STILL HURT!! That said, I did manage to get it onto my flash—albeit, it’s a tight fit. It also adds quite a bit of considerable weight to the flash too. After playing around with it, I like it! The magnets make it easier to swap out the different color filters that came with the flash. The globe really softens the flash’s effects without losing the drama from shadows in the background. I like how I can stuff the globe and grid into the bag and they just fold up and don’t take up a bunch of space. As for the hard-to-put-on magnetic adapter—well, I’m not taking that off any time soon because it’s so hard to get onto the flash in the first place. That’s okay though because it doesn’t interfere with my flash fitting into its case. Drawbacks….besides the hard-to-put-on adapter, these things collect lint and hair like it’s nobody business. With four cats and two dogs, I can’t keep bits off hair off of it. The pieces are also heavy and look a bit ridiculous. I don’t care how they look though because I bought it for it’s function and it functions fine. They seem sturdy for the most part. I think the fact that they’re flexible helps with that because I could see myself cracking other globes or plastic pieces. So since it’s sturdy, I think it’s worth the money. It’s actually cheaper than other options.
