Will this fit with a hard top?

It will fit, yes, since the windshield retainer is on the inside of the windshield and the hardtop sits on top of the windshield, so theres no interference.

Will it fit on a 1960 cj5?

No. The windshield, whilst derived from earlier models, changed shape in 1976. I know it does not fit my 1951 as there is no outside ledge in front.

No problems, easy install, works great.

I bought the Besttop bikini top and needed this rail to attach it to the windshield. Nice heavy metal two peice kit and appears that when i install my hardtop back on I wll not have to remove it. Exactly as described and works perfectly with the Top. The outside edges are slightly bent to wrap down the corner of the windshield. I drilled and anchored it there before drilling the rest of the 1/8" holes so it lined up on the ends perfectly.(It has oblong holes in it so you can adjust 1/4" either way to make the middle line up. I also placed a small amount of silicon chaulk in each hole to prevent leaks and the dreaded windshield rot that occurs to jeep windsheilds.
