2 Stroke 6HP

Hangkai 6.5hp 4 strokes arrived in good package, no damage, fast shipping. Changed oil in motor and reductor and it started from third or second pull. Took to lake for 2 hours, no issues so far. Great quality. I do not see any difference with Tohatsu or other outboards.

Motor arrived in a week and runs great. Quick response from seller to get the MSO.

We got this Hangkai 6HP 2-stroke to run a small inflatable. It turned out to be a genuinely terrible motor. After using it for about 3 hours we put it back in its box and put it up for sale. Why did *everyone* in the family simply hate this thing? Some of the reasons: it was very noisy, it smoked terribly (typical 2-stroke), it idled very poorly and was terrible at low speeds poking around the marina to visit friends. We all simply dreaded using the thing and replaced it with a 'name brand' 4-stroke which was a lot more expensive but totally worth it. The Hangkai was such a bad decision we sat around as a family one evening and tried to figure out why, exactly, we bought it. Simple: YouTubers going on and on about how great the motors are. Well, what we didn't really understand, is that those YouTubers make money when you watch one of their 'review' Tubes wherein they extol the magnificent greatness of one of these motors and you click on the buy link. Wow. Anyhow, in our experience, just spend some more and get a 'real' motor from a familiar brand complete with a real warranty.

Took forever to come but it works better than I expected. Exceeded my expectations fr. Took it out about 3-4 times and it starts up and runs no problem. 100% worth the money without a doubt. Went a pretty long distance yesterday and it was a breeze. Not loud or smoky or anything. Long story short get u one.

I bought this during duck season, so I used it very little last year. I have used it about every other weekend for the last 4 months. I will have to say that with 2 guys (both around 225lbs + gear+ boat (14' flat bottom) it moved us right along. I can run several hours (6 plus) on one 3-gallon tank. I did have to turn down the low idle as it would go about 2mph just idling, now runs around 1.1-1.2 mph. Also, the top part of the hood cracked maybe 4th time out. so i ended up doing a patch over this crack. Everything works well. Sound is a little bit loud but no foam in the engine bay to dampen it.*Highly recommend to not leave it laying on its side when it rains outside as the carb can absorb water due to the direction it fits in the compartment*

Great motor so far!! Took it to the lake yesterday it performed perfectly!!!

Delivered on time for a friend in need. He lives on a sailboat and was diagnosed with cancer and couldn’t get to shore in dinghy without motor. Even sick, he was still able to install it himself. Has worked like a charm, good power.

Runs well, but not even close to advertised hp. My 9.9 will do circles around this motor. 14ft jon boat.
