Great polishing lapping compound
I have used these to brighten up a rusted gun bore and it worked perfectly. I also put it on sticky gun bolts to make them butter smooth actions. Get some

What's not to like about 220 grit lapping compound??
This worked great to allow a Beretta/Benelli choke tube to screw in all the way. Initially, I could only get it to go about ½way, into the lower barrel of an inexpensive Turkish shotgun, although, it would fit the top barrel fine. The piece was purchased over the internet and shipped to my FFL dealer, so I didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it etc. I would recommend also purchasing a real Berreta choke wrench too. I just smeared some of this compound on the threads of the choke tube and screwed it in until it felt tight and then it backed it out and repeated the procedure. On each try, the choke screwed in a little further. It took about 5 (or 6) times and now the choke is fully bottomed out the way it should be in the barrel. It was harder getting the stuff OUT of the threads afterwards than actually chasing the threads. I just used lacquer thinner, with an old toothbrush wiping with "Q-tips and paper towels. I kept it up until the paper towels came out clean.

Works nice.
Got this as a finish grinding step for my reel lawn mower (I wanted a sharper, finer edge).
