Keep water out
I was surprised, as an adult, to be told I needed tubes in my ears; I thought that was for kids! The thing I was most strongly cautioned about was to make sure I always have ear plugs in when showering. the doc told me the biggest issue adults have with tubes is getting water in the ears. I had some foam plugs but I discovered that they absorb water! Not right at all for the kind of protection I needed. I found these and tried then and have been very happy. They don't insert INTO the ear canal, just seal into the ear opening. The instructions say they are good for five uses and I'd agree. After five uses they didn't stay in place and seal well enough. Put them into place and gget a good seal then when you take them out put them back onto the plastic case. After five uses throw them out and start a new set. They do reduce a substantial amount of noise and, if pressed into place correctly and carefully, keep water out of the ear canal. Good product!

comfortable
I just got back from my trip from London and Paris. Since I was staying at Airbnb I knew the old buildings were going to be noisy. They are so comfortable as I typically hate earplugs. Easy to mold to my ear and never felt strange. I also used it on the flight to London and yea its cool. No issues, not sticky. Thanks AI for recommending these

Works great!
Love these. A friend gave me a pair when we were traveling. I used them again to block out early morning noise from some construction nearby. I love that they mold into and to your ear and they aren't hard. No issues when you lie on them. Taking them on our next trip to NYC! So can actually sleep without dealing with street noise. They are THAT good!

excellent plug but hard to store
The silicone plug makes an excellent seal, very good noise cancellation. I use them for swimming and they seal out water very well. They fit flat under my swim cap too. So as a plug, they work very well. The issue is inconvenience, because they are difficult to carry around and store. Being malleable, their shape will change if you drop them, or put them in your pocket, or your gym bag, unless you have them in a container. None was included, so I used a small jar from another product. Maybe a small problem for a good plug, but for me, at the pool, it was an issue.

Way better that foam
even though some of the foam types have higher noise reduction they don't stay in your ears well, so then what's the point, half the noise reduction at best? These don't go in the ear canal but around the ear opening itself and create a near air tight seal reducing noise considerably

comfy but not sound proof enough for me
Well they are jelly soft and comfy but I can still hear the traffic outside right thru them. I would like to give them more stars but they are not sound proof enough for me.

They work well for both swimming at the pool and sleeping.
I was using Speedo silcone plugs and which were just ok and they did leak often and could sometimes scrape the inside of your ear. When I first tried these for swimming I didn't get a good seal but have learned that you open up your ear canal a bit, squish the plug in and *roll* your thumb/finger off the plug to leave it inside. If you don't *roll* off it can pull back out a bit and you lose the seal. Are they 100% perfect, no, but even when I lose the seal in the pool, far less water goes in compared to the Speedos plug. The box say something like they can be used five times but I've stretched that out to at least 15 times and when that pair has lost some of the stickiness, I use those for sleeping. I've only used 4 of the 15 in the box so far in a month so this product is totally worth it. Oh and for sleeping this is much better than the foam plugs because they don't irritate you ear canals and get rubbed by the pillow. They're warm and low profile. One last thing, don't make them pointy to fit inside your ear. Create a block shape and fill the space outside your ear canal.

saved my sanity--what's left of it
I've tried foam ear plugs and they fell out and/or hurt my ears for hours afterwards. I didn't know there was even such a thing as silicone ear plugs and they make so much sense I would have ordered these first had I known of their existence. I tried these and they are amazing. They truly work. Drawbacks: I get hair caught in them and also if you read the instructions you will see that you need to warm these up first before putting them on. I don't need these every day, but when I need them at three or four in the morning, I have learned to grab these and just keep them in my palm (sleepily) for a few minutes before placing them in. When you eject these upon waking, you can see how they have molded into your ear. These things have made all the difference in the world and I recommend them wholeheartedly . (Ordered one pack to try and liked them so much I ordered a three pack but only one pack shipped. Amazon corrected this.) At 4 in the morning

One of the best options
I normally used them to swim. But also go reduce noise to sleep. As it not a great idea to insert long objects in the ears, these plugs are perfect. They kind of cover the entry of the ear, but they don't go very far.

NOT A PACK OF 3. 1 PACK OF 6 PAIRS.
THIS IS NOT A PACK OF 3. Earplugs are good but it is 1 pack of 6 pairs. Misleading and more expensive than other sellers.
