Smithfield Brown Sugar Cured Spiral Sliced Half Ham, Fully Cooked, Unglazed, Sweet and Slow-Cooked, 8-10 lbs

I thought that shoping at Amazon would get you the best of what ever you bought like so many other customers do . But that sure isn't the case.because the ham I baought was of poor quality, way to much fat, salty and it was not sugar cured becsuse it was way to salty to be sugar cured.I have had othere sugar cured hams in the past that was a whole lot better than the one I baught from Amazon. The other thing is, in the add it said that the ham would avarage between 8 and 10 pounds, but mine was only 6 pounds and a lot of that was water. For a ham that cost almost $80 dollars I expected a whole lot better ham that what I recieved. Needless to say I was very disapointed in the ham I purchesed and will not everbuy a ham again from Amazon.Joe B.

Less than 8 lbs. Advertised as 8-10 lbs. I was hoping it would be closer to 10.fortunately, someone brought a turkey with them.

This was a gift to my family. My mom wanted only this particular ham. They were very pleased!!! I will look for it again next year!!!

The two layers of heat shrink wrap covering were a bit much and probably contributed to a terrible chemical-tasting meat. The sauce is pure high fructose corn syrup laced with mostly artificial flavors. After opening the packet, one whiff and a tiny taste led me to tossing out the stuff. A little honey, brown sugar, clove and cinnamon was all the ham needed. Unfortunately, even a nice sauce did not help the flavor of the ham. This is the first and last Smithfield ham I'll buy. Disappointed.

I had purchased a Smithfield ham today and prepared it as instructed but had to add an extra half hour to get to temp. Them i opened the glaze packet and began spreading it on when I realized an awful smell. I stopped immediately and threw that portion of the ham away that had been contaminated with the foul, poison glaze. I put it back into the oven having saved half the ham I thought and would keep it warm until my wife got home from work.What I didn’t realize was that the glaze was now in the bottom of the pan and with tin foil covering all, it had contaminated the remaining ham. Not mention it was basting in about a quarter inch of the poisonous glaze. The foulest smelliest stuff ever. I tried it for 2 bites and now I feel sick. My wife threw hers out based on the smell alone. This is my first and last experience with Smithfield Hams .I’ll be ok but I’m calling the store in the morning. Something is wrong at Smithfield. Ham was probably ok but whatever was in the glaze packet was not what was supposed to be in there!

Our family and guests loved this at Easter! It was easy to prepare and serve, and very moist. Not a morsel went to waste.
