Fantastic Doorbell Camera!
* Device Review * This doorbell is much larger than expected. It is easy enough to install, and is completely wireless. You can hook it up to your doorbell, but I just mounted mine above the old doorbell. The device is sturdy, and the camera quality is as clear as expected. I do like the two camera set up, and it was a huge selling point for me. The device is sturdy, and has been in use for a month. For the batteryI have it on "balanced" and it gets triggered at least twice a day, usually more for now. In one month, its used 20% of the charge since then. So around 5 months of use per charge. The device does come with the charger. The night vision is fine, about what I expected. The mic is serviceable and clear. * Software/Ecosystem * I paired my doorbell with the HomeBase3 and my whole system is in the Eufy Ecosystem. The ecosystem is very nice to far. The local AI is hit or miss, but is right around 85% of the time. Connecting the devices was difficult, I had to change the app to light mode for the pairing process to work. * Conclusion * This device is more expensive than the competitors, however the doorbell is well made, and no cloud subscription is required. When paired with the Homebase, it works locally and is a closed loop. The package protection works well, although on my side door it seems to think my storm door handle is a package. I turned the package protection off on that device and its worked just fine. I recommend this device if you're looking for a home system that does not require any subscription.

best doorbell camera yet, and no monthly fee
I’ve had multiple models and brands of video doorbell- this is the best one yet. It detects motion only generated by people, provides fast notifications, can be tailored with multiple distance settings plus activity zones, smart person detection, and works with my existing doorbell. (There have been multiple models that did not make my existing doorbell ring). It does not suffer from detection of cars and people outside the activity zones (sidewalk next to the street) and does not have multiple “motion alerts” caused by wind moving plants around (One doorbell would announce every passing car as a motion alert). As an unexpected bonus, it detects, records, and messages “packages being dropped off”, reminds you if you forgot to pick the package up by a certain time like 8pm, and tells you when “package has been picked up” and records that event. The dual camera works well and records both views at the same time- I had another brand with this and liked it. This one you can even set the area to be scanned for packages. The unit is a bit bulky-the included angle mount cuts down a little on the mounted footprint but this is still tall, wide, and sticks out / deep. Achieving what you might consider core functionality without frustrating errors (no car in street alerts, no wind driven motion alerts like my flag, doorbell really rings) was a nice change. Doing this without storing on a cloud, without a subscription fee, without sharing with law enforcement, and making intelligent ai detection of people (sometimes) and packages (almost always) “on device” is outstanding. Love the “you forgot to collect your package” option. Sometimes it will message a person as “motion” and not specifically a “human” esp if they don’t stop, like when we go in and out of our own house. Since there are no false motion alerts due to wind etc I can trust that motion alerts are people and ignore the fact that it doesn’t label the event as a person. And you might want to adjust or turn off the loitering announcement that is on by default- I disabled the voice prompt but kept the notifications. The packaging & labeling from eufy was a bit confusing between “wired” and “battery”- the battery version I bought works wired with my old doorbell chime and is powered by that wiring. From the app it appears there is a battery being charged by the doorbell wiring. The eufy website suggests there is a wired version but at that time I didn’t see how to order that from amazon with the required homebase2 so I purchased the “add on” dual camera which meant I had to purchase homebase 2 separately. And you do need a eufy homebase for this to be setup and work, it is not optional. The “kit” version comes with a chime, not the required homebase. If you want to, you can setup the homebase 2 to ring like a doorbell chime when the doorbell button is pressed so I don’t think you would normally need the kit they sell with the chime. When updating this I see there is now a separate wired dual cam amazon listing which may be what you want- but regardless be sure to order a homebase 2.

Great device!
Had multiple issues with the unit (and HomeBase combo), initially. Multiple calls into their Tech Support. Excellent, patient Support. No hesitation, whatsoever, promptly shipping me new, replacement unit(s). The cam and HomeBase units were, not, however, at fault. Initial problem (though figured out/solved by me, not Tech Support) was because of my Wi-Fi unit. This device will NOT work with combined 2.4/5 Ghz (and/or 6 Ghz) Wi-Fi nodes. Which, actually, the Support guy SHOULD have known. It REQUIRES separating the Wi-Fi 2.4 Ghz node off into it's own, separate entity. My old Wi-Fi (off a 15 yr old CenturyLink dual-band modem/router/Wi-Fi unit) could not do this. So, I invested in a new, LinkSys tri-band unit; that could. Problem solved. THAT one, anyway The UI can be a bit arcane, in places; as far as finding the appropriate screens. In my case, the screen to configure exclusionary zones. Inclusive zones for motion detection was easy; the other quite difficult to ferret out. Unfortunately, by this time, my Support Tech had also apparently gotten a bit tired of all the calls, and had finally lost the patience to pay adequate attention, so as to ferret out the nature of the actual, remaining difficulty (my locating/understanding how to configure the motion detection exclusion zones). By patiently digging into every durned nook & cranny of the software... I finally located the correct, though obscure screen to accomplish/satisfy my need. Since, then... excellent, flawless operation. About the only thing I can complain about... is the audio. I can p/u audio fine, but the minuscule speaker module in the unit is inadequate for quality, 2-way comm with the person at the cam. Especially with the high background noise floor of the on-the-sidewalk-just off-the-busy-street out front of my downtown building. I plan to add a little spkr (actually, a 1.5", $10, mini-Bluetooth spkr/unit [just using the spkr & housing; not the Bluetooth]) under my cam mount, to (hopefully) resolve the issue. I'm going to open the back of the camera unit, hijack the two terminals present/meant for actuating a pre-existing doorbell, wiring/substituting them for the existing spkr, routing the wires through the wooden angle mount I configured to get me the correct angle/placement for the unusual usage scenario my particular front door configuration demanded, and mounting the new spkr just under the cam mount. Should (I hope) work. Highly Recommended.

It's awesome when it works. (EDITED)
Alright, I'm editing this review. The original review is below. Long story short, I had major issues with the doorbell when the temperature dropped to 30 or so degrees. I contacted Eufy support, and after pushing in a new firmware did not fix the issue, they overnighted me a new doorbell. This one has worked flawlessly. I was tempted to update my review to 5 stars from the 1 star that I initially gave it. But knowing the issues that I had with my original doorbell, I didn't feel that would be fair. That being said, Eufy support is great. They go out of their way to make things right and don't hassle you. And again, the second doorbell was worked with absolutely no issues. I love it! ------Original review------ I received this doorbell last Tuesday. Setup was simple and I had it up and running in no time. The picture quality is great and I'm very happy with the feature set. I also have a hilarious video of the UPS guy trying to throw a package onto my porch that blew away mid flight... And his expletive filled tirade while he was chasing it down. I had minimal false notifications, and the night vision is really great. Extremely clear and I could see people walking in the dark half a block away. I was in love with this thing. Then Saturday came. I noticed that I didn't get a notification when my wife went out to get coffee in the morning. Then I didn't get a notification when she got home. I went on the porch and still nothing. I pressed the doorbell button, and nothing happened. I went back inside to check the Eufy app, and the doorbell started to ring about 15 seconds later. I checked the app and nobody was there, so it was clearly from when I I pressed it before. I figured maybe it was just a glitch and moved on. Then the mail was delivered and I didn't get any notification from the app. At this point, I tried to pull up a live view on the camera and I kept getting errors. Cannot connect to Doorbell -201 and Cannot Connect to Doorbell -3. Then it just said that the doorbell was offline. Today is Monday, and the issues are still persisting. I think it's the cold weather. It's been in the teens and 20s with high wind since Saturday. If I bring the doorbell inside and let it warm up, it works perfectly again for a few hours. It's extremely frustrating since it's supposedly rated for down to -4 degrees. When the doorbell works, it's awesome. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be working very often.

Buggy Eufy doorbell the battery software fails charging every few months
Disappointed with this doorbell. When it works fine it would charge the battery fine and everything is like a dream. However, there is a bug with this doorbell. The doorbell should not charge all of sudden, and the fix per Eufy is to remove the doorbell from the app and re-add it to the eufy phone app and setup everything again. This means pulling out the doorbell from the outside wall and scanning the barcode to re-add back to eufy app. Already the 6th time doing this procedure and it is getting tiring. This doorbell can't operate without a homebase. If the homebase crashes, the doorbell is useless also. Eufy makes great cameras but missed the mark on this doorbell. Not sure if it's the only model having issues or what but it's not useful to re-setup each time it wouldn't charge the battery on the doorbell. Eufy hasn't fix this software bug even when I opened the case with them. Only thing good about it is that it looks nice in black and video recording is good when everything works but it's really a high maintenance doorbell. The wifi is great but not the fastest but not durable is in not crashing. I will likely want to find another replacement given it's terrible flaw. Not recommended until if Eufy would fix the issue.

Very Intelligent Product
This is a very impressive doorbell camera. I purchased this Eufy Security Doorbell Camera when my Wemo doorbell camera just stopped working after a year ☹️. However, I like my new Eufy soooo much better. The Eufy notifies my phone when it detects movement and it is excellent at distinguishing between a delivery, a person waiting for me to answer the door or just movement and pushes a notification to my phone telling me which of these scenarios it has detected. This is very useful because I can open the app and speak to someone waiting at the door but can ignore other notifications until it is convenient to look at them. The second camera that is angled down keeps any eye on my packages until I can collect them, the old Wemo could not see any packages after they were placed on the steps. The Eufy was extremely easy to install - it literally took me 5 minutes - and it comes with an optional wedge to help you angle the camera if your old doorbell is off to the side of your door like mine. The Eufy app is ridiculously easy to use and stores your videos for free - no paying for a subscription 👏!!! It will also work flawlessly with Apple’s Home app. While I hardwired my camera, I have two Eufy cameras that run on rechargeable batteries and I have been very impressed with the battery life and performance in extreme temperatures so I am confident that the battery on this doorbell camera would be equally impressive. Overall, I am really impressed with Eufy products and feel that this company is the gold standard in home surveillance. If you need to mount your doorbell on vinyl siding this little mounting block is useful: https://www.amazon.com/Siding-Mounting-Blocks-130110006002-Octagon/dp/B0BWDQ217C/ref=sr_1_9?crid=2II7VVBLX8B7U&keywords=siding+plate+for+light+fixture&qid=1694455918&sprefix=Siding+pla%2Caps%2C114&sr=8-9

Great with door sensor
Bought this for the dual cameras and they work great. Loads quickly and everything is recorded locally. Battery life is also very good so far but I only get maybe 10 events tops on a busy day. Homebase is also very loud as a chime. I recommend also getting a door sensor which shows events next to the cameras.

Started with a home base 3, doorbell camera, and a 2Tb solid state drive.
I very seldom do I rate products. Started with a home base 3, doorbell camera, and a 2Tb solid state drive. Many reasons to like this product. 4K Resolution (amazing picture), data saved on site, no monthly service charges. Well designed & reasonably priced. Concerned about in home camera privacy, this system addresses that very well. The most expensive item needed for a system like this is the solid state drive, but necessary. Most can get away with a two terabyte drive. So regardless of my very positive experience with this product, do you research carefully when looking for a Security camera system.

Constantly goes offline.. looses internet connection
Having changed from ring to eufy doorbell I feel this has been a downgrade. Battery life only a couple of weeks and goes offline constantly which was never an issue with the ring. Both doorbells were placed in the same location both battery power source. Very disappointed
