desertcart.com: The Matarese Countdown: 9780553106671: Ludlum, Robert: Books Review: Great - Great Review: A whodunnit follow up to Circle focusing on The Who rather than e how. - This was a continuation to Matarese Circle. Everybody is older and the โthe usual suspectsโ are โbaaack.โ In many ways it was a pragmatic approach to the story, now that everyone is decades older. The drama was similar to Circle, but itโs more of a โwhodunnitโ or โwhoโs the bad guy now.โ Both are good spy stories but Countdown is more about The Who and Circle is more about the How. Both good reads. I read them years ago and bought them back for Kindle reads.

evil runs deep
A wonderful sequel thatโs probably more engaging than the first. Very tough to put down and hugely creative. Doubt there will be a third.

Nice read
The storyline was interesting. I have to admit it got a bit tedious for me...I skipped to the end and went back and finished. A few minor things worked a nerve but all in all, a well told story.

Wow the action and the story are solid entertainment.
I have read most of R Ludlum's books as a teenager and I must say that he is a master of spy-craft and intrigue. I would recommend this to any intellectual who like read. If you like intrigue and far away lands the Robert Ludlum books are in you line of sight

What's Next
Ok, I have read the first two, now what? I am hooked on the Matarese and I am sure there is more to come but when. Kept up through the night and day. Love the characters but hated to see Visili go. Bring it on.

Very disappointing and lackluster. The author wants to project the hero as modern Superman and fails miserably.what a downfall.

Toch weer een zeer inventief verhaal. In vervolg op de eerste Matarese story. En toch weer vol spanning en gruwelijkheden.
