Fun and reasonably challenging
I'm about 2/3 of the way through with the construction. This is my first of this particular brand, and it hasn't disappointed me. The instructions are reasonably clear, and the pieces are small but manageable. A magnifying class helps with the instructions--and tweezers help with the construction! The micro-block kits are more challenging than Lego kits, because of the smaller pieces. (Not a criticism of Leggo architectural kits; the finished Lego products look great and the instructions are always crystal clear, but I find Lego brand kits to be almost too easy.) You'll spend a lot of your time with this kit and other micro block kits just sorting pieces, as they are packaged almost randomly, but that's part of the fun--and I've definitely enjoyed putting this kit together.

Nice Project
It took some time to complete, but it turned out to be beautiful. The only drawback was missing one clear block to complete the tower connection. All in all, not a bad project if you love a challenge, especially with the foundation. The clear bottom can confuse you when starting the base of the bridge.

Don’t ever buy this.
You pay for what you get. I use Legos for like a calming meditative thing, but these things I had to fight just to try to put together. They were either the hardest thing to click together or just fall right apart. I am never buying this brand again. If I could give something zero stars, this would be it. I just gave up and threw it in the trash. I’m done.

First time micro builder experience
I'm going to try to be as fair here as I can. This was my very first micro building block set, whereas everything I had built up until now had been Lego-sized or mini. I had some struggles with this set, but they may have been because i was a bit overly ambitious taking this set on as my first experience with micro blocks. The first few pages of the instructions were a bit confusing for me and I had to redo the base 2 or 3 times to get it right. After that, the instructions weren't too hard to follow. However, there are a lot of repetitive steps, so you want to keep careful track of where you are and what you've already done as you go. I had no problems at all with missing parts. In fact, the manufacturer was very generous with extra pieces. This was a very good thing, since there were a few times that pieces went flying off to God-knows-where when I was trying to snap them together. There were multiple times that the pieces did not want to go together easily, and/or it was a very tight fit (as in it felt like I was trying to stretch the pieces to get them to connect). I strongly recommend that you have a pair, or several pairs, of crafting tweezers handy to help put the pieces together. The set does not come with any. It does, however, come with a tool for separating mistakenly connected pieces. I never got to use it because it was in bag #10 (instead of #1, where most sets tend to put it), so I didn't find it until I was almost done. I didn't know for sure that the set came with the tool, so I didn't think to check all the bags in the beginning. I used a really small flat head screwdriver to get pieces apart when I made mistakes. Most of the pieces went together without too much trouble and stayed together once connected. I'm not going to lie, though- there were a few parts (mostly while assembling the base and the tiny trees) where I used super glue to hold the parts together so that they wouldn't keep popping apart. After those areas, it was mostly smooth sailing. My recommendation is that if you start to get frustrated, walk away and come back to it later. The finished product looks great, and I certainly can't complain about the price I paid for it ($45). As I said before, this was my first micro block set, so the issues that I had may very well have been because of inexperience with such tiny pieces. If you're looking at this set for your first experience with micro, i suggest maybe trying a set with fewer pieces as a test run before tackling this set (which took me about 2 weeks). Nevertheless, this set did not scare me away from micro blocks, and I'd probably even be willing to try another set from this brand in the future.

Cute but frustrating
This set is super cute but quality control doesn't seem that great. I was missing 2 pieces. Luckily I had a nail polish of the teal color, so I just painted a white block I had. The other block I didn't have a color match in block or polish so I had to use a different block I had from other sets. Luckily I could hide it, but I had to restart a section to do so.

A challenging Lego set worth doing
Very challenging mini block Lego set. So far I’ve completed the base of the colosseum. Some pieces needed a tap with a hammer to get the piece in place BUT all worked out fine AND so far all the pieces are available. Give this set a try—it’s challenging but after every step is completed it is very rewarding.

Collesium - Some helpful assembly hints and suggestions
When complete, this set is beautiful. As mentioned in some reviews, it might be a good idea to glue down the first few levels on top of the base. The sections form a 'oval' and the parts that join that oval are under pressure to spring apart as parts can shift when new blocks are added above. Once you are sure that the lower levels are in place correctly, glue them in with some plastic model glue (Testors). Since each sector on the collesium is actually a separate assembly, the placement of the lower levels does not have to be perfect. Even if the parts holding the oval together fly off, you can still have a successful build just by gluing the lower levels to the base before building further. It took me at least three tries to perfect the technique and keep everything stable. The difficult fit of the smaller parts forces the builder to push very hard with tools to get some pieces to fit. This pressure can cause some "Rapid Unplanned Disasembly" (RUD). I found that taking off an already installed part below and fitting the small part onto the block away from the entire structure and then replacing the parts back onto the structure made this easier. This will become obvious when you are building the kit. Enjoy
