Niteangel Hamster Desert Bath Sand | No-Dust Bath or Potty Litter Sand for Hamster Chinchillas Gerbil Mice Degu or Other Small Pets

I have 2 gerbils and thought I would try this sand for a change as I couldn’t get out to my local Pet Shop due to an injury. Delivery was fast next day and it was well packed. The sand is really good, soft and fine the gerbils absolutely love digging and rolling about in it. I think their coat appears cleaner too but I can’t be too sure. The contents of the bag lasted three refills. I normally put it into a bath box and leave it in their glass tank for an hour every second day. If you leave it in too long then they will use it as a toilet spot. Well mine do anyway. The sand does actually clump up really well if they pee so you can filter it out pretty easily. I didn’t get any smell from the samd so it’s not fragrant just samd. I would definitely recommend it, concerning the price if ypu are purchasing actual recommended pet sand and not Kids play sand this is pretty much the correct price give or take a few pounds. I would give this 5 out of 5. My go to sand from now on.

My hamster is obsessed with this sand! It’s super soft (definitely on the gentler side) which is perfect for her little paws. She loves rolling around in it! The absorbency is surprisingly good, it keeps things dry and doesn’t smell, so it lasts a decent while before needing to be changed. It comes in a bag within a bag, which I really appreciated; feels safe and hygienic, no spills or mess. Looks really clean and nice in the cage too, and for the price you get a good amount. Totally worth it. Will be buying again!

Excellent fine sand that is perfect for use in hamster baths. Used multiple times to replace sand that had been toileted in by my hamster. My hamster often loved rolling around in the sand bath. Definitely recommend

This sand is a tad more expensive than the one I was getting before, but I read online that it is better for hammys (plus 0.3lbs more quantity wise). I already know niteangel to be a well loved brand in the hamster community, and the quality does seem to be better. It is less dusty, and a bit softer. It also has a cute orangey colour. I’m sure you could find similar for cheap with a bit of sleuthing and the right knowledge but, for ease and reassurance, this is the one to go for. Specifically sold with hamsters in mind. Also came double bagged, which is a considerate packing choice. Hammy did approve (shown is the wee sand bath, she has a bigger one too.) Edit: moved down to a 4⭐️ for price, also the absorbency is not great if your Hamster uses it as a toilet it clumps together a lot more that the one I used before.

This is one of the most recommended brands of hamster sand out there and does the job well. My hamster loves to sleep / clean / dig in this. It is a little expensive as you can buy cheaper (also recommended) brands out there, but it was good to get going with. I bought a small bag and completely underestimated the amount of sand that would be needed in the Niteangel sand bath so ended up having to buy more sand to fill the box higher.

As product,excellent…. but little bag for the price at £14 (03-03-2026) . Only for rich people
