Zap!: Wile E. Coyote Experiments with Energy (Wile E. Coyote, Physical Science Genius) (Warner Brothers: Wile E. Coyote, Physical Science Genius)

I teach physical science to high schoolers who don't want to take science but need a graduation credit. This book series is great for them because it teaches facts without being boring. I don't use these as a textbook, but I encourage students to look through the books as a supplement to their learning.

This series of books is good at using a beloved cartoon character to help kids learn some basic mechanical and engineering lessons. They are easy to read without talking down to kids.

Great books, my 7 year old was really excited to read them.

Now these are great books for all readers, but especially the reluctant readers! The author uses simple but clear langue to explain energy and energy transfers, and Wile and the roadrunner are great helpers. I bought for an 8th grade science class, these books explain the same concepts as the boring textbook, but yet even my most reluctant readers enjoy reading about boring topics using any of the book from this series.

Fantastic! Very fun introduction to physics for youngsters. Covers lots of info without ever getting dull or boring, mostly because it all comes at the expense of poor Wile E. My boys (5 and 8) love it!

I think that Wiley really makes learning fun! I wish I had him as a teacher back when I was in high school!
