A nice, simple Core class figure
A different take on Ravage, certainly familiar yet alien as he doesn't turn into a cassette, but just folds in on himself. Some parts are fragile like the ankles so be careful they don't bend and ruin the clip.

It's Better Than Expected.
Let's get the negatives out of the way, first:-Packaging: No window. You can indeed reach in there, now. The figure and its accessories are easily accessible by gross hands and airborne germs and sticky fingers wanting to steal stuff. Ugh, what a terrible choice.-The instructions: They're kinda awful. If you look really close you can make out details but the paper they print it on just makes it muddy and indecipherable sometimes. You really have to mess around with this figure to get him just right so he'll fit in Soundwave's chest. (And lemme tell ya, there's literally no wiggle room whatsoever. Either get it right or not at all. *sigh*)-Feels awfully small for a Core Class figure. Yes, he's articulated (meaning higher parts count) but man is he small. (You don't exactly feel like you're getting what you paid for. This is roughly a WFC Battle Master at best, which is half the price...)Now, the positives:-Detailed: Man, oh man. They put a lot of effort into the mold in terms of details. I don't think there's a sizeable amount of smooth, flat surfaces on this little guy. His tail, basically. Everything else about him has some kind of greeble on every visible surface. (At this size? I'm impressed.)-Paint apps: Nice and crisp and detailed. Impressive for such a small figure.-Does a pretty good job of representing the on-screen design. No, seriously, he looks like he stepped right out of your screen. This is what happens when Paramount actually works *with* Hasbro instead of ...well, all of the previous films. *shudder*Final thoughts:If you have Soundwave, he's going to need his Ravage. And in typical Hasbro fashion of "Let's make more money!", you *need* Ravage for Soundwave to be truly complete as he comes with the missile attachment for Soundwave's shoulder launcher. (See? "Let's make more money!")His transformation (once you actually know what you're doing) is easy to do, but tough to master. (You still have trouble getting everything just right so he'll fit in Soundwave's chest. It's really kind of annoying!) I do think he's overpriced, I normally wouldn't have bought him, I really only did so because of Soundwave, but they look good together and there's a feeling of completeness that wasn't quite there before.I mildly recommend him. I was expecting worse and basically a cheap overall feel, and he's really kind of impressive on his own. He just needs to be a bit cheaper on the wallet. The upcoming Core Class figures of Spike (SS86) and Iguanus (Legacy) seem to be more worth the money than this little guy is. It's your money, I can't tell you to run out and grab him, but I won't tell you to skip him either. I'd love to be able to, but I'm having a hard time justifying him outright.

An Apology Ending With A Resounding Meh
This figure is… ok. The joints are loose and the neck has no movement and there’s lots of problems with it but considering the price and the size it is pretty cool. However, it’s very clear that this figure is not meant to stand alone, but is in addition to the Soundwave figure. An annoyingly clear apology for the poor vehicle mode of that character that costs you around $10. It’s really just a meh figure. So meh I transformed it once and put it in Soundwave’s compartment and haven’t taken it out. This definitely isn’t for little kids, very small with even smaller parts.
