4 Inch Diamond Drill Bits Glass Hole Saw Drill Bit Set for Glass Ceramics Porcelain Ceramic Tile Marble

I bought this hole saw to drill a hole in my porcelain coated cast iron sink for installing an RO water filter faucet. It did a surprisingly clean job, and I was very happy with the result. The build quality doesn't feel premium, but it performs much better than I expected for the price. One important tip: don't apply too much pressure while drilling. Let the bit do the work, use a low drill speed, and keep adding water continuously to keep it cool. Following those steps, it cut cleanly without any problems. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase, especially considering the price.

Used these for just one hole but they cut through the brick well!

I bought these with the hopes that by buying a whole set they would be able to drill a small hole in a sintered (very hard metal) gear. I used one of these bits, drilled through the gear and into the shaft, and used an old broken drill bit to make a pin. The gear was slipping on the shaft and wouldn't turn the shaft to make my nibbler work. I tried a TiN coated bit and a cobalt bit to no avail. The sintered gear was just too hard. I used just one of these little diamond bits and it was still working when I finished drilling the hole through the gear and into the shaft. I couldn't see any wear on that bit. Simply amazing! The nibbler works fine (at least for now).

I'm a remodeler, and purchased this hole saw to cut a hole in tile for a shower valve. Being so large, I wondered how I could get it to accurately cut a hole in my tile without it wandering and scuffing up the surface. I did three steps which made my hole cutout perfect. First I cut a hole in a piece of backerboard using the hole saw. This piece was to be my cutting guide. Then, I cut a piece of sponge and put it inside the bit so that it would release water and cool the bit as I drilled my hole in the tile. I positioned the backerboard on the tile and clamped it there. Then I soaked the hole saw and sponge in water and proceeded to cut the hole in the tile. The sponge and water kept the bit cool and the backerboard template kept the hole saw from wandering. It was a perfect cut! This bit is by far the most economic way to cut a clean hole. The bit is already much duller that when new, but it will work great for several cuts, but not many more than that. Keeping the bit wet and cook is essential- otherwise your bit might not last more than one or two holes. There are many others costing 10x more and made for daily use, but my use was one or two times only, and for that, this bit was perfect.

I used this with my drill press on a 24x24" large format porcelain tile clamped in place so control was not an issue. It is messy and slow, but it does work. It can work dry but does not cut very well, much better with some water which I just spritzed on with a spray bottle from time to time. I only had to drill one hole then I'll probably never use this saw again, so I can't comment on durability. I put a towel and some plasterboard under the tile so I'd know when I was through and not damage my saw platform. I took my time with frequent breaks to check progress and not overheat the saw. I read in another review that a guy used a piece of plywood with a hole as a guide which I suppose could work with a hand drill, but that would be pretty hairy. 7" is a BIG saw, and this thing isn't perfectly balanced, so I bet it would wiggle/wobble the drill and be very hard to control and even dangerous. So this may not be the best highest quality too but In the end it did what I needed!

This 7 1/4 inch hole saw does not rate even one star but this Amazon process requires a rating to post. This hole saw is a very poor joke at best; it does not have a pilot bit or even a provision to add one, therefore no way to stabilize the bit for a precise cut; which is why they call it a PILOT BIT. In fact this hole saw would most likely just skittle and scuff your tile like a buffer. Please note that the majority of positive ratings are for other products like 2 1/4 in hole saws. Also please note the fact that the images are all of the side and back of this item, none showing the disturbing lack of a pilot bit for stabilization. Seems deliberate to me.....shame on Jamikury the seller.

Drilling in granite is literally hard to do. I struggled at first, thinking perhaps that I was drilling too slowly and/or putting too much pressure on the drill. Finally, I found that moderate speed and pressure worked best for me. I kept the hole filled with water from a spray bottle. I got about 1/2 per bit. The 3-star rating is perhaps unfair, more based on what I wished the bits would do. I'd buy them again if I am ever unfortunate enough to drill holes in granite again.

I used this to remove a screw on which the head had rusted and crumbled. It was used to mount a shower slide bar and we didn't have more replacement tile, so I needed to get the screw out. I measured the broken screw's mate's diameter and determined that these 6mm hole saws would work. Using the hole saw, I drilled through the cement backerboard around the screw. I went pretty slow as I wasn't able to use any water to cool or lubricate the saw. Probably took about 10-15 minutes. The screw came loose just as the hole saw broke, and lodged in the hole. After removing the problem screw, I just used a larger-diameter screw to bite into the inside of the broken hole saw and pulled it out. I was pretty hard on the saw, putting a good amount of force on the drill, and for the price I would consider this a consumable and a good tradeoff for getting the job done. I can't speak for other use cases but for mine, it worked very well and the price meant my DIY repair was a good value.

This hole saw works well. I needed to cut a shower valve hole in a 12 x 12 tile and it did it nicely. I ended up cutting a guide block out of wood, then clamping it to the tile. I submerged the tile and guide block in a concrete mixing pan and filled it with water and had no trouble cutting the hole. It took about 5 minutes to cut at slow speed on a cordless drill. Recommended.
