Great, compact, office chair
I am working from home a lot more now, so I was looking to upgrade my cheap $10 walmart task chair. I have eczema, so I needed a mesh chair, as this keeps my skin cool and dry. I found this and really liked how it was a nice, modern design, and compact. I didn't really care about adjustable arms. I saw this had good reviews, but not a lot of reviews, but I figured I would take a chance. It came well packaged, and I just needed to put the top on the base and attach the wheels. I had some "inline skate" replacement wheels were standard size, and they fit perfectly. The replacement wheels work great, slide smoothly, and do not mar my hardwood floors. The chair is great, with good support, good size, good support. The base is made of a solid piece of aluminum, and has a nice, industrial look to it. Adjustment controls are built into the edge of the chair, so they're nice and inconspicuous.Time will tell how it will hold up, but it seems solidly built and well designed.Highly recommended!

Fantastic Home Office Chair
Great chair for my home office:1. comfort - I'm a part time Grad Student and tend to work in my home office for hours at a time. This chair is very comfortable, and great for those times when I'm working through the night.2. styling - everything from the mesh backing to the adjustment levers that are built into the chair's curves. It's very well designed.3. ease of assembly and durability - assembly took less than 10 minutes, and it comes with a manufacturer's 2 yr warranty. Although I doubt I'll need it because it's well constructed

Great build quality with a couple caveats.
Overall a good buy @ $200. Incredibly easy to assemble (no tools needed, 5 minutes!), seemingly great materials and build. My only complaints are it's highest seat setting which measures out at 21.25". The armrests are not adjustable and feel both low and short in length to me. Seat comfort should improve with use so a small cushion might be a good idea while it breaks in.

More comfortable (for me) than the Herman Miller Setu
I’d been sitting on the Herman Miller Setu chair at work, and was like “woah this is a great chair!” (I struggle with neck and shoulder stiffness as I often work 12+ hour days sitting). Then I looked up how much HM chairs were and my hopes were dashed... until I took what felt like a big risk and got this LD chair for a fraction of the price (though still at the higher end of what I wanted to pay), seeing that some reviewers had compared it to the Setu, and I’ve had it now for a couple of months and I absolutely love it. I still sit on the HM one when I’m at work, and even though that material is clearly sturdier and lighter (the HM’s back is a more plastic-y material and the frame is much lighter; the LD material is more of a synthetic cloth that I could imagine getting some mild wear from daily use in a couple of years)— I look forward to coming home and working on the LD Empire chair. It goes back further, has a little less tension in the chair overall. They’re not paying me to write this (though I wish they did). I’m no chair expert, but my neck and shoulder pain is so much less with the LD chair I got. Highly recommended, unless you’re looking for a super durable fancy-pants chair (then I recommend the Setu).

Great chair, especially at this price
I like the mesh design much better than padding in traditional chairs. The chair back and seat are comfortable. I don't use the tilt lock - it's maybe the aspect of the chair I like the least in terms of its design and function - but the chair doesn't easily rock forward and backward so I don't find that I need a tilt lock. There is good tension in it in terms of stopping it from falling backwards when you don't intend to.It is very simple and fast to assemble this chair and doesn't require any tools. Just put the wheels into the base and attach the base and the seat and you're done. I haven't tested the Herman Miller chair but after using this one I find it hard to believe it's that much better to justify costing 3x more money.

well made and looks good but uncomfortable and small
My immediate reaction when I first got this chair was that it felt like sitting in an airplane seat. I am 6'1, 180lb and this chair feels too small (as in not enough depth & width) and too hard. Although this chair looks well-made and looks good, my main focus is on comfort as I work sitting down 10+ hours a day, hence 2-stars. I was hoping to get used to this chair but after one month of using it, I am now calling it quits..

Great chair
This chair is not super cheap but it's worth every penny. Takes no time to assemble. Good design and color. But best of all, it's comfortable and moves around easily. Note that it's the manager style so no headrest if that's important to you.

Good Chair - Makes Groaning Noises
We purchased three of these chairs in both black and grey colors. We enjoy the chairs and the price is very reasonable. The only complaint that I have is that one of our grey chairs makes creaking and groaning noises whenever you move around in the chair while sitting down. I haven't reached out to the company with the issue yet, so that is on me. We enjoy the chairs regarding all other features and functionality.
