Kichwit 6-Pack Replacement Scrub Pads, Super Abrasive, Green (5 Inch)

This turned out to be just what I needed for raising the grain on cedar wood. I use it on a Festool random orbit sander. It works great! I could imagine it coming in handy for other applications where sandpaper wouldn't work because surfaces are uneven, not flat. I have my sander hooked up to a vacuum and wasn't sure how well these pads would allow dust to flow through them, so I used a punch and punched four holes into them, not to overheat the sander. It works perfectly!

Nicely packaged. The pads are good and thick. Not too abrasive so no fears of damaging the wood we are using them on. Easy to use - just pop them on the machine. They seem to hold up very well, without much slipping. Price is good, Delivery was fast.

I used these after a horrific flub grouting. I had grouted some heavily textured tile and bit off more than I could chew. By time I had gotten to the grout for cleaning the excess it had hardened... All of it. These pads single-handedly saved me from having to retile my shower. It took me weeks and many pads (not the fault of the pads just the nature of the job I have them but they cleaned the tiles. I will warn you the green pads are very abrasive and if you aren't careful on a drill they can strip the finish off of Rhondec trim as well as the glaze and finish off of tile. Before using this stuff seriously test it in something first and test it way longer then you would on a normal surface. You want to know how your surface will react.
