It’s very well laid out with lots of good problems for every possible PE Power exam topics. This book, along with Wasim’s on-demand and live training helped me learn everything I needed to know to pass the PE Power exam on the first try! Highly recommended.

This Study Guide is the standard for PE Power review material. Wasim does an amazing job of compiling questions that are both technical and theoretical. The solutions are well written in a step by step process that is easy to follow.I felt confident for my exam after using this Study Guide and his online training program.

This book really helped me study for the exam. Not perfect, but helpful.It sort of became a ritual for several months for me to carry this into a McDonalds Playground on Saturday evenings while my two toddlers ran about, my wife keeping up with them, and me studying. Something I will cherish for the rest of my life in fact.I did pass the exam and this helped me in a couple weak areas and really helped me firm up others. In all honesty, the difference between passing and failing.

This book is a great resource for anyone preparing for the PE Power exam. It has tons of examples that give you both great introductory problems if you are unfamiliar with the topics, as well as problems requiring more experience in order to solve. The book has great detailed solutions to better understand the steps to get to the right solutions. However I’ll stress that while the book gives great examples, it is very very important to fully understand all the concepts in all the topics and not rely on “plug and chug” with the equations. The book explains the concepts thoroughly in the detailed solutions so it is key to read through and fully understand these. From my personal experience - I used this book as a “first pass” through all the topics for Power PE, and I can fully say it prepared me with a very solid base understanding and allowed me to dig deeper into each topic afterwards. This book was absolutely key for my preparation and I’d highly recommend it.

I passed the PE exam on the 1st try and this book was a big reason why. It was actually the last book I reviewed during my prep. I wish it had been my first. I guess the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the exam ended up having way more qualitative questions than I expected and this book prepares you more for the math-based questions. That said, I don't know if there's a better way to prepare for qualitative questions anyway, so I'd still recommend this book. Review this book first; then work through "Electrical Engineering PE Practice Exam and Technical Study Guide"by Zach Stone PE; and finally work through the NCEES Power practice exam. You'll do fine.

Thirty years after completing a BSEE, I needed significant practice solving problems.The Study Guide provides a structure for the student to develop problem solving skills that are directly related to the PE Power exam.The author takes a progressive approach in presenting the 700 problems. Instead of posing a multi-faceted problem in a single question, a clever and effective format leads the student in a progression of steps. For example, the relatively simple question 1(a) may lead to a slightly harder question 1(b), then to an even harder question 1c, etc. This cumulative method keeps the student on-track so that no problem seems too big or too imposing to solve.Also, I appreciated the step-by-step solution that is included for every problem. I never felt like an answer appeared “out of thin air.” This comprehensiveness gave me a base to know where I made a mistake and which theory I may have not understood.I highly recommend “Study Guide for PE Electrical and Computer - Power Exam.”

Good morning,I wanted to let anyone considering buying this book to definitely buy it. Using this book in conjunction with Wasim's PE Course was everything I needed to study for the PE and pass on my first attempt. I was extremely pleased with the depth of care that was taken to make a book with so many quality questions. I bought other study guides as well at the beginning of my preparation but going through this study guide I realized this was all I needed in terms of practice problems along with more problems provided in Wasim's course. All in all, I would strongly recommend both this book and his course. Good luck to you all.
