Great tent and just what I was looking for
ONE YEAR REVIEW: When I started shopping for tents, I spent a lot of time reviewing they type and styles that are available and what would fit my needs. I watched a lot of video reviews and read a lot of reviews. My search narrowed down to the Mountainsmith Morrison Evo 4-person tent and a couple of other tents. After comparing the tents specifications and how I would be using it, I determined that from the available information the main difference was in the price. Although it was not cheap, the Mountainsmith Morrison Evo 4-person tent was the lowest cost of the three tents. So, I ordered it.When it arrived, I was impressed by the small size of the bag. My first thought was something is missing, it couldn't all be in the bag. I unpacked it and everything was in the bag. After becoming familiar with the tent and its pieces I began the first set-up by myself. It took me about 10-15 minutes to set it up in my living room. It took this long only because it was the first time. I took it down and set it up again a couple more times and the set-up time dropped to a little less than 10 minutes. I then folded and rolled the tent up and everything fit back into the bag easily. It has been one year since I purchased it and I have a pretty good idea of what kind of tent it is. I have used it numerous times in dry and very wet weather. It has met all my expectations and then some. It was money well spent and I expect it to last me for quite some time.PRO: cost when compared to the other tents I consideredgood interior sizebig doorwayseasy to set uplight and easy to unpack and packthe tent floor and rain fly do not leakthe ground sheet and gear loft are included (not included in the other tents I considered)the color does not scream "look at me, I'm a tent" and blends in with the surroundingsCONS: the only con may not be the tents fault. During the last heavy rainfall, rain splashed up under the edge of therain fly and a fine mist got into the tent through the mesh. It may have been just the fact that it was raining sohard or I may have positioned the rain fly slightly off center over the tent. My next trip out I will pay moreattention to how I install the rain fly and if it rains, I'll see.OVERALL: Highly recommend. I am more than pleased with my selection and look forward to many years of use. I am so pleased with the tent I have purchased a Mountainsmith Mountain Shade Tarp and used it one time. More money well spent!!

easy and comfortable
I've been using this tent a handful of times per year for the last five years, and the more I use it the more I appreciate it:- It's big enough to fit two full-size sleeping pads, and tall enough to sit up in and change clothes comfortably.- It's definitely not ultralight, but it is light enough and small enough to take on shorter backpacking trips.- It is very simple to set up and to take down, and it fits in its stuff sack.- It is watertight. After five years of usage for both car camping and backpacking, I would happily buy this tent again.

Great tent
Excellent tent.I set it up at home before going to a camp and it was pretty straight forward. The 3rd short pole was a bit tricky at first though. When we went to the camp, it was slightly raining. I was able to set it up very quickly just by myself (in a few minutes). The person complaining about leak from the vents must have put the flysheet wrong or it must have been raining really a lot and extremely windy, so the water got blown in between the flysheet and the ground, which maybe only 1-2 inches of gap at most. I could not see how water get into the tent once the flysheet is properly installed and anchored to the ground under normal weather conditions. After setting up the tent, the rain became stronger and continued all night, but we didn't have any leak from anywhere including the floor (we used the ground sheet that came with the tent as well). By the way, I didn't anchor the 2 ropes attached to the side of the flysheet. Just 4 at each corner and another 2 over the entrances were adequate. After the use, cleaning (vacuumed, wiped off with a wet rug, and let it dry) was easy. Dried dirt and such came off right away, although some bird dropping stained the flysheet a little bit though. It dried very quickly as well.Only complaint that I could have is lack of positive connection between the tent and the ground sheet. The 2 main poles go through each corner of both (so they will not separate or detach), but when I wanted to slightly relocate the tent by myself, the ground sheet came loose, but that is not a big deal.I will see for how long it will hold. It looks the tent is very well constructed and seems to last long though.

Perfect for situations where weight and bulk don't matter
This is a great tent for car camping.Pros:- Very reasonable price- Set up is fast and easy, even setting up alone- It's good sized and very comfortable for two people, zipper on both sides prevents climbing over your partner to get out at night.- Sturdy construction and materials.- It comes with everything, even the footprint and gear loft. So nice to not have every bit and piece sold separately.Cons:- At almost 7 lbs and a very bulky package, there's no way I'm backpacking with this!- In hot weather it's a bit stuffy inside (no fly, just tent body) even with all the mesh

Fantastic features in a lightweight, easy set up, higher-end tent.
This tent came up on a review video and my mind kept going back to it. So happy that it is the one I chose to purchase! It is small and lightweight so we can take it kayak camping if we want.Easiest tent I’ve ever set up, so few pieces and it all just comes together in minutes. I set it up in the dark multiple times with no issues. Used it with and without the rain fly, there is a noticeable temp increase with the rain fly attached (did I mention how east it is to attach the rain fly?!).Some things I noticed about the construction that made it superior to others I was comparing: the clips are super heavy duty, I am not worried about them snapping and becoming non-functional. The shape of the tent openings and double zippers make it super easy to enter/exit without letting a bunch of bugs in. The thoughtful hole cut into the cargo net still let’s you utilize the hanging loop at the top whereas others don’t have this feature. It also comes with an appropriate sized tarp pad that is complete with pole grommets and rain fly clips too!Couldn’t be happier with this tent!

Extreme Durability
Bought this tent back in March (not Oct) for fall elk hunting. This is the perfect tent for one person and all your gear! I always setup a base camp with my popup trailer and this year wanted to backpack further in to also setup a spike camp a 1-2K' higher. Two large doors and two vestibules, bathtub floor construction, taped floor seams, aluminum poles, footprint, and lifetime warranty. The zippers are made very well! The first week of archery season 2018 I backpacked up another 1000' from base camp to setup this tent/spike camp. The first night it poured rain all night with 40+ mph winds. Stayed perfectly dry and the tent & fly easily handled the wind. With my backpack in one of the vestibules and my bow in the other everything stayed dry.The tent & fly was very easy & quick to setup. Having a peak height of almost 4' was very nice! While this tent (as with most all) is made in China the company headquarters are in Golden, CO and the customer service has been fantastic. As a lifetime hunter, mountain climber, hiker, camper and CO resident I have no doubt this tent will hold up in any mountain weather from sun, rain, hail to snow. With the right sleeping bag and mattress pad this tent will work for any weather condition.

Great Features in a tent at this price
This is a great tent in its price range. It has a lot of features and packs up small. I was able to set up solo in less than 10 minutes. Like all tent sizings, four adults would be pushing it. This tent comfortably fits two adults and gear, or maybe one adult and two children with gear. It kept us dry in a thunderstorm with winds at about 35 MPH. There were no leaks in the morning, and no damage to the tent. The overhead storage shelf and included footprint make it a great value just under $200. I will update after we use it a few more times.
