Makes the school run on time.
I've used these to replace the 2 D cells in about 50 clocks at school over the last 2 years. No failures at all. Perfect for these continuous low drain devices. Also put them into about a dozen soap dispensers (they take 4 batteries) - all still going strong.

Money goes to product, not advertising
These "industrial," non-retail ProCell batteries are intended for quantity users, not the 2-pack buyers filling a flashlight in the kitchen for when the power goes out. The result is that your same money pays for more batteries, not for the advertising and promotion it takes for any of these brands to be heard above the noise at retail. The packaging in this case is quite boring. Plain cardboard outerbox, monochrome inner box, with a set of 12 "D" cells you just lift out and use. Wow, how easy, how convenient, how delightful. The batteries themselves are about the same as the higher priced "retail" versions, in this case the famous Duracell Coppertops. You just don't get the glossy wrappers and a blister pack to have to fight with a sharp blade to open. Highly recommended.
