Travel Case for JBL Xtreme 2 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Red)

I bought this hard shell case for my JBL Extreme 2 speaker. The speaker fits very snug in the case. So well, that I don't take the speaker out of the case. I just unzip the case to open it. It reveals access to the functions without having to take it out of the case. It also provides a stable base on a decent surface. The only negative is that I couldn't buy a case the same colour as my speaker. Mind you my speaker isn't a common colour.

Update: Jan 2025 Was mainly using the case for storage rather than transport. Well I had started transporting the speaker and used the handle. Pretty disappointed the handle has popped several stitches along one side. The speaker is a generous weight and the case seems made well enough for it, but the handle a little less so. If you're strictly using the case to keep dust off the speaker you might be fine? As for me I need to find a solution that would not end up in a dropped device. ------------ This almost fits too well, I'm considering attaching the strap to the JBL speaker - or some other thing - to be able to take it in/out more easily

I love Red and I love the sound quality. I need to find another one so I can test the link feature. That battery last a long time. Good bass sound too.

I suspect that at least some of the people loking at this now are wondering if it can be used for the Gen 4. In z word, yes, but it is less than ideal. Gen 4 has more girth, a wider diameter than Gens 2 and 3. Because there was a bit of space where the mesh pocket is, it will fit. If you will be carrying accessories, like a charger, buy a case for Gen 4. It does fit, with the strap laid on top, again, the mesh pocket providing that bit of extra space. Hermitshell makes nice cases. I have used theirs for years. This is a very basic semi-hard shell case, with a soft lining, no padding, a handle, but no strap or hooks for one. If that works for you, you can save 50% vs. buying a gen 4 case.
