Bit fiddly to put up to start with but once you get used to it, it's fantastic. Folds down flat for great storage if you take the side part off it. If you have a heavy or gaming laptop, it's best to have it lower as it can get a bit wobbly if you have it fully extended but can be adjusted so the laptop counterbalances it. Can have it different heights and on different surfaces. Has a fan that you can plug into your laptop for extra cooling capabilities though it is quite loud.

Das Gestell schwingt recht viel. Hatte mir das etwas stabiler vorgestellt. Für meine Bedürfnisse mit gelegentlicher Nutzung aber ausreichend.

Die Idee ist gut aber zu unstabil.

In conjunction with my mobile disco business, I was seeking a suitable, lightweight stand to support my bulky 17.5" laptop, as I wanted to elevate the PC out of harm's way in order to avoid any risk of a drink accidentally getting spilled on it! Needless to say, it turned out that there are only a limited range of products available, which would be wide enough for my requirements & so I opted for this particular model accordingly. The positive aspects about it are that the width is more than ample & thus was suitable for my computer, it has a large diameter USB powered fan (circa 200mm!) underneath, a separate mousepad is included, which can be attached to either the LH or RH side of the stand & that the hinged support brackets can be positioned in numerous combinations, so it is quite versatile in terms of the applications it can be used for. As for the negatives, the perforated plate could ideally do with being another 50mm or so higher, as my laptop overhangs this by 40mm, the stand is a bit "wobbly" in service (caused by to the tolerances within the plastic joint hinges) & that the stand does have a tendency to slide around on hard surfaces when the user is typing on the PC keyboard (this could easily be overcome by sticking self-adhesive felt pads onto the support brackets). However, these are relatively minor criticisms & so I feel that I can recommend potential buyers to consider this product when weighing up their options. Obviously, having only just acquired mine, I can not vouch for the likely overall longevity of the stand in service, particularly if it is used frequently, the adjustable joints being a possible weak point (owing to their plastic construction), but, providing the release button is depressed fully, whenever setting up/collapsing the assembly & thus no undue force is placed on them, then I feel that it should last for a reasonable amount of time.

I bought this for myself to mount my work and home laptop. I experience lower back problems due to a bruised coccyx, and sitting for long periods causes me excruciating pain. I have tried sitting on a gym ball but I have found the easiest way to work is standing up. I though that this product would help me standing at my desk typing. So I received this today and got it set up. First tip, do not try to set this up with your laptop on it, it will tip off, as trying to get the legs equal on both sides at the same time is impossible. The degrees settings on the adjustment buttons do help. Once set up, I was dissappointed by the lateral instability this product has. It has relatively good stability front and back, however it flexes very easily side to side. I got my laptop set up, it is a 17" laptop which sits on the tray very nicely and is fully supported. I did have to use the included tabs in order to stop the laptop from sliding over the very small lip of the tray though. As I am typingin this I can feel the lack of sturdiness in the design because as I press each and every key, the laptop bounces, making screen very uncomfortable to read. I affixed the mouse pad to the side of the stand and again disappointment. It is made of thin plastic and it flexes whenever I use the mouse and I have to be very careful not to put too much weight on it as it feels like it will break. The fan on this works perfectly, and blows enough air to the underside of the laptop keeping it nice and cool. It is quiet and unobtrusive and this is the best thing I can say about this stand. Overall, I am disappointed with this product but I do have some suggestions for the makers of this stand. I understand why you have used plastic in order to keep costs and weight down, howver if the leg structs and locking mechanism, and mouse pad were milled out of aluminium, I think that this would be a much more sturdy and stable stand. It would be more expensive, but compared to what it is is now, it would be a vast improvement and probably a premium product, especially compared to the other lower quality similar products on the market. Overall I would not recommend this product to others, unless they are on a tight budget.
