It can be stackable, but I wouldn’t stack them to high. The top lid would be able to justify a small amount of weight. Comic books add a lot of weight

How many boxes can you safely stack?

I wouldn’t stack these boxes on top of each other. The flip lid is flimsy and would not provide any strength. The structure under the fabric feels like a thin plastic, like a disposable cutting board. If you had to, maybe you could stack one on top but you have to make sure the four corners are aligned to take the weight. To give a sense of the product, think larger versions of the little foldable boxes you get at the Dollar Tree.

Why is the 2pk more expensive than 2 singles?

Not sure. I brought mine on sell. So I saved on the 2 pack. Wait for a sell on them.

Will tabbed dividers fit and the lid still close?

The lid to the comics are right up to each other, so if the dividers don't bend when closing the lid will not close tight.
