Spent a lot of time thinking I'd 'buy the best' and go for a Flir infrared imaging camera but was put off by the slow update speed (9fps, something to do with USA export restrictions) and the painfully high prices. While trawling the internet for reviews (as you do), Hikmicro was mentioned as a worthy manufacturer so I looked at their range. I chose this model because of the fast update speed (25fps) and its IR resolution. I would have liked WiFi connectivity but I didn't want to pay the extra £200 for the B20. I was very impressed by the build quality and the professional feel of the unit. It works fine as expected and with the extensive warranty I feel that I have invested in a useful test instrument. The only thing I would have liked is a proper carrying case (ie not just a pouch, something that holds the power supply and lead as well) but the box it comes in is quite sturdy and will serve well for the time being.

This is a superb thermal camera and extremely good value. But I returned it because it was not suitable for my application - using it to show how a thermal camera works for an audience. I have a MacBook computer and I wanted to use the camera as a USB Universal Video Camera (i.e. work like a webcam) and "cast" the video from the computer screen onto an external monitor/projector. Unfortunately this functionality just doesn't work at all with this model and I had to upgrade to the HIK Micro Pocket 2. I have found that relying on custom software is just a recipe for disaster - the mix of updates to OS's and software means the functionality rarely lasts very long. Using the UVC standard means I can use this indefinitely with many different computers.

Whilst i haven't used it for anything important yet, the ease of use and quality feel of the item is excellent. The sensitivity is incredible, allowing me to "see my footprints" after walking on carpet! I'm looking forward to use it on something important like PCB repair or insulation!

I use many devices every day, this camera meets my requirements, it is precise, fast and easy to use. Very good price-performance ratio. Good support from the manufacturer, the first one turned out to be factory defective, I received a new and functional one quickly and efficiently. I am very satisfied, I highly recommend a good purchase.

The Micro B10 is not WiFi enabled, the B01 is. It’s misleading to list it as having WiFi on here. The unit itself feels sturdy enough. It would be nice to store it in a sturdier box than the cardboard one it came in. The picture on the device is clear enough and even clearer using the Super IR. The unit comes with a number of spare plugs for different countries, UK included. The supplied manual is only a quick start manual, nothing in depth. The online site isn’t very good and is clunky. The unit isn’t heavy by any means and is fitted with a wrist strap. The battery is integral and cannot be removed. There is a USB-c connection on the top of the device that is protected by a rubber cover. The three stars are given due to poor/clunky website support and the misleading WiFi specification. Paid £290 and the day after the price dropped to £269, a tad annoying! Sensitive and quick enough to spot Bats flying in the garden. Bought to replace my older Flir unit that I used connected to my iPhone. Once I’d figured out the technical side of its use it was quite easy to use. Found a burst under some house steps in its first use. Personally, I buy a better box to store it in. Would be a good idea to be passworded and ability to save your Company name or details in case of theft. Overall a good purchase, albeit a crappy web link and incorrect wifi spec.

I’m no expert in this but it works well to assess if/where the house is loosing heat.

Don’t use it much but I love gadgets and wanted something like this for a long time. It’s fun watching the central heating warm up in the winter. It’s just fun watching temperature of anything change. I haven’t tested the accuracy as I don’t really need to.

Usata per individuare dei pilastri, e devo dire che funziona veramente bene, ho potuto anche vedere le serpentine dell' impianto a pavimento. Sembra molto robusta e ben fatta, ovviamente non sono del mestiere e immagino ci siano prodotti molto più professionali, ma ammetto che è molto utile per individuare ponti termici e varie altre situazioni. Per quanto mi riguarda un buon idraulico o chiunque si occupi di fare fori nei muri dovrebbe averla per evitare di fare grossi danni, come purtroppo è stato fatto da me, l'avessi comprata prima non mi avrebbero forato un pilastro portante!!

Very happy with my B10 Used it to find infloor heating pipes in an 8" concrete workshop floor it worked exllent. Lots of colour choices to get the best definition in different conditions. i don't think you can go wrong with Hikmicro !
