Prior to the suit, my 7 year old son who has no body fat lasts 15 minutes in the pool while in swim school. I invested in this wetsuit to keep him warm. He loves it and now enjoys the lessons. For sizing, pay attention more to the torso length than all other measurements.

My kids tend to get very cold in pools, and I have been buying them wetsuits since they were itty bitty. We've tried various other (less expensive) wetsuits that worked well in fending off cold, but the neoprene was never as flexible as I had hoped. We bought two of these O'Neill suits last year (and am back for bigger sizes), and my kids lived in them. The suits keep the kids warm. The neoprene is thick, but it is soft and flexible. The suits held up to a lot of abuse and are getting passed down to others as they still have a lot of life in them. I highly recommend this wetsuit.
