These work amazingly well.
I love using hydrocolloid bandages, and after a recent surgery I needed some for my incision that are 2"x4" and I couldn't find them locally, so I bought these in the 4"x4" size. I cut them in half and rounded all the corners with regular scissors (rounding them helps them not come up at the corner) to get the size I needed.I've seen reviews that say they don't stick, but I've not experienced that at all. I've used three of them now, and each lasted for a whole week before I removed it (and it wasn't even coming off after a week, it was just due to be changed). You need to do two things to get them to stick well. First, YOU HAVE TO WARM UP THE BANDAGE before applying -- put it in a pocket (close to your skin) or sit on it or hold it between your hands to get it fully warmed up. Then while it's warming up, you can prepare the wound area. Wash and rinse the area well, and if possible also clean around the wound (not the wound itself) with rubbing alcohol -- this will remove any moisturizing agents that the soap might have left on your skin. When applying the bandage, peel off just one half of the backing and position the bandage over the wound without touching the adhesive area. When you have it in place, peel off the rest of the backing and press the bandage down as you go, making sure you don't have any bubbles of air. Then hold your hand over the bandage for a few more seconds, letting the heat from your hand activate the adhesive. One thing you cannot do with this type of bandage is use ointments or creams -- that will cause it to not stick.I'm a nurse who works in a hospital, so I get very hot and sweaty during my 12-hour shifts, and these bandages still stay on for a whole week.If you're looking for something thick to cushion an area to prevent pressure ulcers / bed sores, this is the thinner version of a hydrocolloid dressing. It's comparable to the THIN version of DuoDERM, not the normal DuoDERM. It would still be a great dressing for a pressure ulcer to heal up, as long as the source of the pressure has been removed already. But if the area in question is still subject to pressure, you'll be better off with the full-thickness version that can also offer cushioning, not this thinner version that is more for just healing.

Great for Healing Skin
The bandage does not need to be removed once placed. It allows the skin to be protected and gives it a longer time to heal without any damage or pain to the skin by constantly changing it. The healing time is reduced by using this method.
