Bad Kitty Takes the Test Paperback – January 2, 2018

Nick did it again. Another hilarious tale that leaves you feeling a little sorry for Kitty. Not only did Nick capture a cute story with Kitty, he also taught very good lessons to the readers. Be warned, your child may walk around meowing and clucking for a few days after reading this but it is nicer than the pffft, pffft, impressions I got to listen to after Bad Kitty Takes a Bath.

My kids love the Bad Kitty series and this book definitely makes them laugh. I have already read it to them multiple times and we haven't had the book that long. I definitely recommend the book along with anything from the Bad Kitty series.

I got this book for my daughter, who is 8. She struggles with reading and this book is just challenging enough to teach her some of the bigger harder words. She loves the stories in it and I love that she is learning. We will be getting more Bad Kitty books

My daughter and I love Bad Kitty, and have done so for years at this point. Bad Kitty is a great character and catches little imaginations, with her lack of impulse control, oh so familiar to little kids, her kinetic energy captured perfectly in the wonderful illustrations. The humor is both physical and hilarious and smart, so it keeps you engaged and laughing. And Nick Bruel adds so much interesting information, that kids who like understanding the world around them learn and it spurs a lot of great discussions. I also really admire his commitment to making sure that there is a broad diversity of characters and abilities represented, which is a big deal to little kids, who don't often see themselves reflected in traditional children's books.We preordered Bad Kitty Takes The Test, knowing that the book would be amazing, and were so thrilled to read it the minute we received it. And this book didn't disappoint - it was very funny, extremely astute and as an adult, familiar with the discussions around standardized testing, it was a breath of fresh air and a brilliant read. For my daughter, the standardized test debate went over her head, but she thought it was hilariously funny to see the birds interact with the kitty and she was rolling with laughter. And we both learned a lot about cats and eggs and had a good discussion about what tests are for and all that cats need to know how to do, to be truly considered cats. Like all the other Bad Kitty books, this is a hit that we will reread often, and continue to discover more things to laugh at and learn. A gem of a book.Nick Bruel is a truly gifted and thoughtful children's book author, who writes for both the children and the adults reading it, and delivers a piece that is thoughtprovoking and entertaining, and really a must-read for anyone whose children will be undergoing standardized tests. He gives a lovely perspective that we could all use.

The story itself was great,BUT on my Kindle, the font is tiny and it is difficult to expand!Amazon, maybe you could make a version of Kindle that makes the font in this book BIGGER?

Super funny! Very surprised since I wasn't a huge fan of the last book where she goes to the vet. The uncle Barney scenes are a riot! Uncle Murray plays a large part, which is great, because he's my Fave character

She wasn't ready to let go of pictures, but was ready for chapter books. She hated Cam Jansen and Bad Kitty had the right combination of pictures and vocabulary to keep her interested and wanting more. I would highly recommend.

Great book for my 9 year old, she loves Bad Kitty and I enjoy reading them with her as they are well written and very entertaining. We are dog people but we love Bad Kitty!

My daughter loves this series. I hope she enjoys this as much as the others.

My granddaughter loved it and asked for more in the series
