Hormel Cure 81 Ham Bone In Spiral Half Ham, Original, 8 Pound

I sent this to my family for Christmas. So much easier than going to the store and traveling to them with it. The convenience and quality were worth the cost!

Very disappointed ham was mostly all fat and bone. Not like hormel ham I had in the past.

We ordered one of these for the first time for our annual Easter party this year. It was 9.9 lbs and arrived pretty much still frozen in a styrofoam cooler packed with bagged dry ice. We let it sit in fridge for about 5 days to thaw, then warmed in the oven with the included glaze packet. It was good, but I really didn't taste any difference between this and the cheaper spiral hams we have purchased in club or grocery stores in past years.

Thought it was a very good price vs store brand for spiral sliced. Followed directions perfectly. Ham came out dry and over done. It was difficult to slice even though it was pre-sliced. It came off in pieces. It was so salty it tore up the roof of the mouth. Only sliced half way thru even with score marks. Glaze was overpowering. Buying store brand next time

The ham is great, but putting the instructions in black on shiny gold, with 2 pt font makes them nearly unreadable. There's a lot of blank space in the wrapping. Why not a readable size font, black on white?

Fantastic ham! Easy to prepare, flavorful, and my whole family enjoyed. Will buy again.

This ham is too sweet and is not smoked. I do not like a sugary ham, and I like a Smokey flavor.If you want a really great tasting ham , I recommend Kentucky Legend Double Smoked ham. It comes with honey or without honey. I hate the honeyed ham.Only reason I bought the Cure81 is because the Kentucky Legend was sold out.Never again.
