What is the Difference between this and version 2?

There is probably not any significant difference. Just a couple of pieces and / or Graphics

I bought this for Christmas and the motor stopped working after the first time turning it on. How can I get it replaced?

Hello there! We are sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with your Meccano set. To get further assistance to discuss replacement options, please go to this website to get connected to one of our Customer Care representatives. Here is the link: https://www.spinmaster.com/en-US/customer-support/ We hope this helps.

Are Spanish instructions included with this set? I want to give this to a boy in Guatemala.

Hi Sean, Thank you for your question. The instructions can be found online through the Meccano website. The instructions are visual, therefore, there are no language barriers. We hope this helps!

Aren't some of the screws too short? We can't even lock the battery assembly

As he said sort the screws and make sure you are using the correct ones. The longest ones “by just a bit” are to hold the ends of the battery pack in place.
