My original review:When I received this cable, I was initially quite please with it. The overall build quality seemed to be quite good and the detachable pieces went together nicely. However, when I went to plug the USB-C plug into my keyboard, it wouldn't click into place. After taking a look at it, the shell on the USB-C plug was loose, so it would slide when I attempted to plug the connector into my keyboard. There is a set screw on the housing, but I couldn't figure out what type and size of screwdriver head fits it as none of my small philips, torx, and hex bits would fit it. So as much as I was hoping to like this, it was returned for a refund.Update:The manufacturer reached out and offered to send me a replacement cable. The 2nd one is perfect, so I'm updating my rating accordingly. They clearly care about their product and having happy customers.

I have two Akko keyboards that are not compatible with all the coiled cables. I've tried several and none worked, this purchase was my last attempt as I was about to give up and not use them (a shame as they are incredibly beautiful and very good keyboards). For my surprise, this cable fitted perfectly!! The entrance is small and this one has the level I was looking for. Not only it fitted, but the quality of the cable and the packaging is excellent. I've already bought a second one for my personal Mac.

I never write reviews but I'm making an exception here. After my second failure of an expensive customized aviator cable from a well-known company, I ordered the Hystar as a replacement to tide me over while my new custom cable was being made. Received the Hystar and cancelled my order. This thing is soooo good. Every piece is high-quality--the sleeving is amazing and all the connectors are powder-coated aluminum, even the USB-A connector housing is a high-grade gloss plastic with metal screws, and, of course a high quality metal connector at the business end. Amazing fit and finish! Do I wish i could get more customization options? Sure. But for $40, this cable is as good as it gets! Five stars.

I rarely write reviews, but this cable is such impressive quality, that I felt the need to tell everyone it is worth the money. I am also glad I ponied up the extra ten dollars, and didn't buy a cheaper version of these aviator cables.
