The dimensions listed are wrong! (4x4x4) what are the actual dimensions?

The lid is 5 1/2 inches across. The pot is approximately 6 1/ 2" inches across not including the handle and 5 1/2 inches high with the lid on.

Is this carafe dishwasher safe?

No it is not you will need to wash the carafe by hand..
