They make a Kydex holster for the Surge.

Yes. It is completely secure in the holder.

Does this work on the Surge?

It looks like the Surge is a little bigger than the Wave. You would be better to get the holder for the model. This holder is a little floppy, the clip on the back is not supper strong and allows the holster to move around a lot.

Secure fit

Very secure for my wave+. The lock system is very good. It takes a little dexterity to push the release while removing the tool with one hand, but I've mastered it with my 64 year old hands. The price is amazing. We'll see how it last.
