Matador SKS Scope Mount - Full Length SKS Rail Mount

Great solution to mount optics on an sks. The rail slots are very precise and the mount holds zero after torquing and loctiting the rear pin. The ejection pattern changes from straight up to a much nicer 3 o'clock throw. The rail does take a beating from ejecting steel but it holds up fine.

Optics are NICE, and will stay zero'd on this rail. But the price is a major loss of reliability. Now when I take my SKS out to shoot, I must bring a bag of Allen wrenches / pin & hammer and extra screws. The Front rolling pin securing the rail to the sight post vibrates it's way out, and must be tapped back in with a hammer. The back of the rail is secured with two screws that vibrate out. Spent cartridges stove pipe more often after hitting the top of the rail. The bottom of the rail is slowly being cut in half by the ejected cartridges. (Using Wolf/Red army steel cartridges) I've put over 1000 rounds through the rifle after installing this rail. I bubba'd the gun really hard by adding this, but now it looks exactly like the SKS in PUBG. Tapco and everything. Which is why I'm not giving this a 1 star. I have other more reliable guns, this is a cheap meme weapon from a popular video game now.

The directions were vague on how to remove the old forward sight. My dad is technology challenged and I bought this for him as a Christmas gift. He didn’t have access to YouTube. He struggled trying to remove it for a good hour. I looked at a video on YouTube and had the sight off in about 2 min. What the directions tell you to do is not close to what the videos show that I looked at. Overall, the mount is very sturdy once it’s installed and is very impressive looking once a scope is installed. However, we have not tested if our gun will jam up with this mount installed.

Great rail system for mounting an optic just make sure you have an original dust cover or your going to be doing a lot of modifications to make it fit

While trying to add this item to my yugoslavian sks, I sliced my fingers quite a bit on the SHARP edges of the rail. Other than that, its sturdy and durable. Holds up great.

Was flawless and looks beautiful on my rifle

Got my order today and installed it on my sks as soon as I got it home. As others have mentioned I had to file down the front of the rail a very small amount to fit it just right. It fits beautifully and I can now use my eotech or my scope. If you need a rail for your sks I highly recommend getting this one! They are great people to deal with and they have great customer service!

Great rail, it was a pain in the backside trying to remove the metal clip on the stock SKS. Rail for perfect

took 3 minutes to install. looks very sturdy with no wiggles. a small amount of filling will be needed in the rear sight area to ease the swivel action. fast and worryless transaction.

Put a few hundred rounds through my sks using this rail. Use Locktite on the rear threads as they will back out from shock. Holds zero very well and haven't had any issues with failure to eject. It will get a bit beat up though that may be due to steel casings. Installation is very tight. Removing your rear sight will probably be the hardest part. I had to file a bit down at front. Under the rear sight spring is the piston extension. The rail would push the spring against the piston causing it to protrude into the ejection port. It did cause side scratches on the piston. Filing fixed this issue.

Took about 5 minutes to install, very sturdy on the gun. will update when i sight in the red dot! overall Very pleased!
