It does not sound clear a lot of static what can ve the reason, all connections are correct no need for ground wire turntable doesn't cone with one?

Hello. Ground wire is used to lower noise. If your turntable has no noise issue, it is not necessary to connect a ground wire.

How to I connect the ground wire to the preamp?

From the phonograph, there are 2 RCA jacks and a ground wire. You push the ground button in on the preamp and stick one leg of the ground wire from the turntable into the hole then let the button go and now you are grounded. In order to stop the cartridge hum and other noise, you must ground the turntable to the preamp.

How do i know if i have an mm turntable?? i am "new" to the vinyl community. my turntable brand is dual. i know i need a pre amp. will this one work??

The brand of turntable usually doesn't determine the cartridge type. The type of cartridge is what you need to determine first - moving magnet phono cartridges are very common and have a replaceable stylus. Moving coil cartridges are a bit less common and usually have a fixed stylus. I have a Sony turntable which came with no cartridge. I had to purchase it separately. I would suggest that you look at the cartridge carefully and see if you can determine the brand and perhaps the model number. You can then look up the cartridge online and get the specs which should indicate the type of cartridge  (moving magnet vs moving coil). This particular preamp works very well with the mm type cartridge. I have had no complaints. I suppose some of the more hard-core "audiophile" persons may disagree.
