Review: A Bible Journalers Dream with legible font and room to create! - This is a Bible Journalers dream! I truly feel like Christmas came early. This Bible arrived on my doorstep and I literally put everything else aside to spend some time just enjoying it. I joined the Bible journaler's community about a year and a half ago with my first journaling Bible. I started with an ESV journaling Bible by Crossway, because at the time there were a lot fewer options. (Mine actually has two columns of text, which was something I wanted to do differently with my next Bible as single-column really does allow more space for notes and artistic expression.) Since then I have been dying for a single column Bible, but had resisted. And boy am I glad I did because this one hits two birds with one stone and is both a single column and a large print! As I began to explore the illustrated faith movement I fell in love with the creativity and personal expression that comes with illustrating your faith. My first few months of Bible journaling I spent hours and hours on each entry and created true masterpieces. They are like monuments marking things that God spoke to me, things that were changing in my life, and serve as beautiful reminders of what God was doing in my life and heart. Later, I committed to doing simple black-and-white drawings so that I would find myself diving in more frequently. And now I take a few of my favorite supplies with me to church and I even journal there. I love the variety that is in the pages of my Bible! But after spending almost 2 years in my original journaling Bible, and doing all kinds of creating I'm running out of space. So I will be honest I wrote a wish list of things that I would hope for in my next journaling Bible. This beautiful New King James version, large print, single column journaling Bible is everything I wanted and more! (Thank you Thomas Nelson!) And to be honest the only thing I might change would be the colors on the cover… That being said the colors, print and high quality fabric is absolutely gorgeous - I just happen to like the burgundy color of the NIV version a tad better. And being a creative those things can matter. :-) At first I wasn't sure about the New King James version, but I felt that way about the English Standard Version when I first got my other Bible too. What I have found is that I love having a variety of versions that I work between and this will be no exception. All that said this Bible will be my constant companion. I will be using paint, ink, many kinds of pens, stamps and so much more to fill the pages with worship and pieces of personal expression to the Lord. Often people's main issue with journaling Bibles has been about the size of the font and let me tell you this large print Bible completely assuages those complaints. The trade-off is that, yes, the Bible is slightly taller and thicker than if you have regular size font, but the "regular" font in these journaling Bibles tends to be a size 8 point font and I agree that is very small. I love how easy the words are to read on the pages and how much room it gives you to express yourself. I received a copy of this incredible Bible in exchange for my honest review. But let me tell you I'd be picking one up if I hadn't been gifted one!

Very happy with this Bible
I'm very happy with this purchase. My thoughts so far: -The Bible is beautifully made. Cover is durable and looks nice. - The note taking area is lightly lined and gives ample room for jotting down notes. - The pages are slightly yellow/cream. It does not bother me but is worth mentioning. Yellow highlighter is harder to see in low light. - The pages aren't as thin as some other Bibles I've owned, but they aren't incredibly thick either. I use a standard medium point Papermate Inkjoy ballpoint pen (my favorite pen). It doesn't bleed through but you can see shadowing. You can also see shadowing of the printed text as well though, so I believe this would occur with any pen. I may try a fine point pen in the future as I think the shadow would be minimized. (See attached photo) However, even though a slight annoyance, the shadowing has not affected the ability to read notes on the other side. - I would highly recommend the Bible Hi-Glider gel highlighters to use with this Bible. They truly don't bleed through. - I enjoy that this Bible is simplistic- not a lot of fluff (references, study guides, etc), single column, and split into paragraphs with headings. The print is a good size for comfortable reading. It's about the size of a standard book though- not typical large print if that's something you need. - It is a bit larger and heavier than some Bibles. Not something Id want to carry around often if that was a need of mine, but a perfectly acceptable size for reading at home or carrying once in a while to a study. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase. As an avid note taker, I'm so happy to have a Bible that allows space for adequate, neat, and organized notes that is both beautiful and durable.

Where beauty and functionality meet!
My husband loved this Bible. The words are big enough for him not to strain. He didn’t want to write in it cause it’s so beautiful, but appreciated the space on the page side for notes.

A little too heavy for my bag but ok to write for notes. I still love it.

Worth your money
I love it already!! I was looking for a Bible to use in church to write down the verses that the preacher recommends us to read at home. And I do love it! It’s pretty big but worth it! And the packaging came out perfect!! I got the large print because the other one was super small to read.

Love this Bible!
This Bible has all that I wanted. Easy to read (like NIV or ESV), Jesus words in red (like KJV), journaling space and large print. It is the perfect bible!!!!!!!!!! This is the first bible I pick up everyday. I can’t wait to journal in it some more.

Beautifully well-made Bible that ticks every box
Couldn’t be happier! Beautifully made Bible. Font is clear and the perfect size for my preference. I really like the paragraph layout and sub headings. Pages are slightly thicker than a typically thin-paged Bible. Still, I would say to be careful which pen you choose. (I prefer using a lead pencil.) There is a little page creasing, but it would have been from when it was packed from the manufacturer, as the Bible was completely sealed in the original box/packaging. The bonded leather cover is flexible yet strong making it comfortable to hold. It is a heavy Bible, but that is to be expected with the extra space for note taking and slightly thicker pages. Lovely “notes” section at the back too.

It's great!
I love it! The large print is great, and the space for my own writing at the sides of each page are awesome. It's certainly a study bible for HOME though. Would be tricky bringing it anywhere since it's so bulky and heavy. And I wouldn't trust the cover's durability. It's thin, and not flexible at all. But as for the inside, every page is well printed, and nice bold text. Being a bible, the pages are thin, so I certainly wouldn't suggest using gel pens or anything too wet. It's easy to get carried away with all those nice lines to scribble on. I'm pleased with it for sure!

Great bible
The bible is great and is packed with enough to keep you busy, only one downside would be nicer if the writing was bigger personally, but still good enough to own and looks cool 😎
