Nice simple design
We can’t live with out one of these for the summer time. Here in the south , the mosquitos start coming out quite early so we have to have one on hand. It works good pulling out the poison from bite to make it less itchy and it heals faster. 10/10 . Recommend for sure. But you have to catch it right when you get bit.

Best 10 bucks I ever spent!
Oh my God, where has this simple, effective, ingenious device been all my life and why hadn't I ever heard of it before? My 7 year old got a bumble bee sting (yes, they DO sting and it HURTS). A few days later I got stung by one. Then my 3 year old got stung by one. My daughter's violin teacher told me about this sting thingie and I didn't buy it because I figured this must have just been a freak occurrence everyone knows "bumblebees don't sting". Well, a few days later I was kicking myself for not buying this thingie after another bumblebee stung me in my garden. We have a small homestead with tons of berries, fruit trees, vegetables, etc and we have hoards of bumblebees everywhere on everything. We have loads of wasps, too. Great, bumblebees pollinate and wasps prey on bad bugs that are garden pests, so I love them, but their stings hurt and cause me to get a red welt that feels hot and swollen, spreads over several inches and it itches for a week. So I ordered this thingie. My 7 year old got a mosquito bite and we used the thingie. She's usually pretty sensitive to bites which itch and bother her for several days. Upon using this, it immediately stopped itching and stayed not itching. She's also extremely sensitive to pain or discomfort and she was able to tolerate this device. She got a couple more mosquito bites, the tool worked on them, and we also used it on a couple she got a few days ago and it worked on those, too, perfectly! I even used it on my week old bumblebee sting which had been itching me horribly and was red. To my astonishment, it actually helped that one quite a bit. I'm sure if I'd caught it earlier, it would have been eradicated but the venom had spread. Still the itching ceased for many hours and the redness abated a lot. The immediate area where I used the suction is returned to normal color skin, as the venom is out, but the venom had spread all down my arm so there is still some in there. No fault of the device, it says the sooner you use it, the better the results. Anyway, we haven't had any stings to test it on. But I wish I had this when we got yellowjacket, wasp, and bumblebee stings in the past. Ironically, we keep honeybees and they pretty much never sting us, but if they ever do, it will be great to have this tool! I'd give this product a million stars!

Worked well, until it cracked
This device works pretty well. I used it a number of times. Even when it wasn’t immediately after being bitten, it still helped some to reduce irritation. Unfortunately, when I picked it up to use it for the first time in a couple of months, it didn’t work. Somehow the applicator cap that you use to press against your skin had cracked. It looks like it cracked when the cap was on with the large part on the big piece, and the little hole out, for a small bite. I’d mainly used it with the large part against my skin, with no problem; when I switched it, it worked, but apparently the stress from being a little small (combined with the plastic drying out with age) let to it cracking while it sat on my shelf. You’re supposed to take it off and clean it after each use, which I did. At least it worked for a while! Just be careful with that piece. Don’t leave it on the big piece with the small hole out.

Top broken
I have loved this device in the past, it works wonders! However when I went to order more years later, the quality is not the same, both of these split at the top and are no longer usable since it relies on suction.

Actually works!
I live in Florida, where the noseums are really bad along with the mosquitoes of course. I get bit so quickly I had to find something and this is the thing! Use it immediately or if you don’t have it around you and you can use it later either way it works. I couldn’t believe it! It’s amazing to find something so simple do exactly what it’s supposed to.

A MUST HAVE!!
This is the simplest, yet most significant item I have purchased for managing Bites and Stings. I am allergic to ALOT of things--even mosquito bites make me swell up the size of a quarter. I purchased two of them originally -- one for my home and one for when we are out bike riding.I was out gardening one day and suddenly felt something on the back of my arm and leg. When I looked down, wasps were crawling up my garden gloves (which were the long ones) and two were crawling up my leg stinging me. Apparently, I had stepped on a ground wasp nest and disturbed them. I started running and tossing my gloves in the air screaming at my husband -- run run!! He thought it was a wild dog or something -- but I was being chased by about 50-100 wasps.I ran in my house, grabbed the Bug Bite Thingy and my husband started "triage" on the bites... first he sucked all the stingers out and the venom. Then I wiped it all down with rubbing alcohol as bug bites and stings can become infected from the bacteria on your skin. NEXT I applied ICE to all of the stings for 10 minutes, then I applied topical benadryl spray. It was the fastest triage he had ever seen! I had been stung 7 times...Unfortunately, we MISSED one sting on the backside of my right arm and the stinger was still in it... an hour later that one area was the size of a grapefruit and my arm hurt for 2 weeks! All the other stings hurt slightly and also had created a mild itch for a few days -- but almost no swelling. The topical benadryl really stops the itching. The BUG BITE THINGY probably saved me from an ER trip! We use it for mosquito bites, bee stings and even "no seeum" bites in Florida. I own four -- gave one to all my grown children for their homes. THEY ARE GREAT!!! If you are outside -- camping, or anything else -- or even get bit by a spider... this could make all the difference! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT... and never want to be without one. It is so simple and easy to use--definitely a must have for every home.
