I’ve been using HRP-AID for almost a year now. Last year I felt a tingle in my lip for what I think was a cold sore forming. I purchase the lysine lip ointment products and a friend of mine introduced me to this product. Between the two, the sore never formed. I’m terrified of ever actually getting a cold sore so I added these to Subscribe & Save (it’s cheaper and I never run out). However, I deducted a star because I’m wondering if the formula has changed? The original ones were in white capsules and always spelled like chicken seasoning (lol I’m assuming from the garlic). Now they’re in these clear capsules, they stink and taste bad going down. Not to mention I felt a tingle recently which hadn’t happened since I started these. I doubled down on the lysine ointment, so I’m fine, but if the formula changed and it’s not as effective, this will be my last bottle for sure. EDIT: i finally found a few leftover capsules from an old bottle. The powder in them look totally different. I know color can sometimes vary, but the clear capsules(new bottle) have some white specks in them that the white one(older bottle) doesn’t have. Not to mention the smell is completely different!! I’m disappointed. i’m going to continue to take them to see if they still work but these are definitely hard to swallow.

This product is amazing! I get really bad cold sores almost every other month if not more and they would last for 10-17 days before fully going away. I get really bad ones that come as one bump at first and then a couple tiny ones would form around it. Once the main big one goes through the flaking stage some way or another i'd still have a few still in their blistering stage. I finally had enough and found the HRP-AID pills and it has made a difference!!! I haven't had one pop up in over three months now. I take them once a week if not once every two weeks. I haven't felt the tingling ever since, on top of that these pills are easy to swallow and don't really have a smell to them. Over all I am quite satisfied with this product and would recommend it for people who struggle with cold sores!
