I wanted a way to store some microscope slides that I wanted to keep so our kids can go back and look at things that don't necessarily go back, such as snake or lizard skins they find in the yard. It's nice knowing the slides are protected rather than being tossed around in a box. The price was good and in line for what it is. The quality is decent for being all plastic. The size is good for the number of slides it holds.

I bought this based on other reviews. The box itself is made of hard plastic and very sturdy. It is well made, locks the lid securely in place and hasn't loosened when transported from A to B (stored vertically in my bag).The slots for the glass slides are also sturdy, keeping them in place. They are just wide enough to store two glass slides in each slot. I've stored mine singly and there are 100 slots. The lid has a lined card where you can write down the sample number of each slot. Overall it is a very useful box for storing microscope slides and at a fantastic price. I would definitely recommend buying.
