Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary

What a wonderful reference! This is great for a beginner just starting out or someone more seasoned who likes deep diving to know even more! It has colorful illustrations and definitions that are easy to understand. I've had it for just a couple days now and have already referred to it several times. I highly recommend!

I originally hesitated to purchase this, but I am so glad I went ahead and got it. This has been a wonderful study companion. Written very clearly and easy to navigate to the word, person or place you are wanting more information on. The information it gives is pretty in-depth. It also gives the book, chapter and verse where the word, name or place appears in the bible. This has been a wonderful study tool.

Well made and has a ton of information. The pages are high quality with a ton of pictures and color coded. The book is very well made and I am super happy with the price especially because this book is such high quality. It is my go to during my Bible studies. Highly recommend .

Absolutely love this resource, it is packed with information, pictures, maps and more ... if you are going to read the Bible, and/or new to the Bible then having at least one dictionary is an absolute necessity. I have no hesitation in recommending this one.

Love it, it came is great shape, and it is packed full of information. This will help me study more, and explains things so well. It is thick & a little heavy, but it has so much info it is worth it. Will recommend to friends and family for sure!

As a Catholic, and a student of the Bible, I can't say whether everything in the Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary is theologically consistent with the teaching of the Catholic Church. But it is clear, even upon scratching the surface, that a great deal of research went into this work. It is also clear that this research had to come from multi-disciplinary sources. Even at my rudimentary level of understanding, I know that scriptural understanding requires context, and I suspect that this Dictionary will help in that regard.

Excellent tool to help us to study the Holy Bible.

The Holman Bible Dictionary is quite well made, have lots of illustrations and pictures, is well bound and printed. So far so good. But it is definitely biased towards Baptist theological views and since I am not a baptist it is a little unsatisfactory for my purposes. I'd recommend something a little more objective theologically speaking.

This will be a great help in Bible studying. What I hate is that you send me Bible dictionary thats taken a few beatings!!!

This is a great Bible dictionary. Very thorough and detailed descriptions of almost anything (person, place or thing mostly) that you are interested in looking into in more depth.
