These were just what I needed for an "unusual" use. The springs were the right strength to allow the ears of our race car's zebra head to fold back as the car began moving and then stand back up when the car stopped. They have now held up for two 24 Hours of Lemons races (over 30 hours of track time!). That is the kind of product testing few manufacturers would expect. They are definitely well made and durable. If they can hold up to this they should last quite well for most reasonable uses.

My laundry room has two bifolding doors to it. I have chemicals and garden things my cats don't need to get into in it but I forget to close the door when I leave with a handful of laundry to fold. I couldn't find any hinges that were meant for bifolding doors and I found these and decided I'd give it a try. I put all four on one door, which is fine for me because I only use the one door unless I'm moving appliances around. I kept the original hinges on it because I couldn't figure out a way to install them in their place. They were a little difficult to install on it but I imagine it's easier on cabinets. My door closes on its own and my cats can't access the bone meal anymore. The door is still easy to open and it doesn't slam shut even with 4 installed on it.

The spring is not as strong as I wanted. It swings the door but not all the way to the latch.
