Don't normally buy pearls so was skeptical. But odorless, easy to scoop, and great quality

I hated doing the litterbox more than anything else - I'd change poop explosion diaper first, honestly. This litter has changed my LIFE. Pros: - NO CAT SMELL. We had guests that literally commented on this. NOTHING. Occasionally there will be a poop smell (my cat isn't always great at burying poop), but it goes away within minutes. AMAZING. SO AMAZING. - Crystals very effectively absorb urine, most of the time. I stir it every night (takes 5 min or less) and scoop the poop out, and sometimes there are still wet crystals, but a quick stir fixes it immediately. - Less tracking. My cat still tracks it out, but NOTHING compared to previously with clay litter. I have a litter catcher pad right outside the litterbox, and this catches most of it. Cons: - Dust. There's a lot when you first pour it in, then none for two weeks, then dust again when I do the nightly stir. I wear a mask, problem solved. My cat does not seem to create the same dust when she uses it after the two week mark though, or isn't bothered if she does. - My cat is a digger, and one bag was so, so not enough. I buy two bags, and in my large box, I get about a 3-4" depth. More expensive, but WORTH. IT. - Even with two bags, it only lasts a month before my cat turns up her nose at it and the crystals stop being effective at absorbing urine. This might have to do with my cat, as she was previously feral and will pee very few times a day - meaning when she does pee, it's a LOT. The crystals may not be able to absorb such a large volume at once after 4 weeks. Annoying, but I don't even care because of the pros of this litter. My cat switched to this litter all at once with no issues, but since she was at one point feral, I don't think she's terribly picky as long as she can dig in it. I highly recommend this litter, especially if you want all the good parts of having a cat, but not the horrific, classic litterbox smell.

This review is for the Blue bag- for some reason when I try to review the pink bag with small ball crystals, THIS comes back up! ?? Anyway, I've used this Ultra litter to layer on top of clumping litter to help control smells with 8 cats (we do have several boxes). It eventually does get mixed in as you scoop, but one half to whole bag of this in addition to clumping litter, depending on the size of the box, makes a HUGE difference in the reducing smells and makes the box of litter last SO much longer before changing the entire box. Also the reduction in dust is AMAZING!! We have too many cats and too many boxes to only use this litter, I'd go broke, but even just part of the box helps on the dust. My only slight negative is these crystals do track a bit out of the box, and we have two cats who seem to not use this box as much as the others (I use the Ultra Micro Crystals, pink bag also, see other review) so I don't think they like the bigger crystals on their feet. It does seem to be absorbent, though I wasn't sure at first. The crystals will start to yellow when they're used up. You will need a wide slotted/hole scoop to get the poo out (and clumps in my case) and not lose the crystals that are still good. Overall definitely worth it, even though cost wise it's more expensive per pound than the clumping litter we use. The pink bag does not track as much as the blue bag does.

I would not recommend using this with an automatic litterbox - specially the scoopfree system. The litter kernels are too big to go through the rake and the machine kept getting stuck. Also, even though the size of the kernels is large, the cats still track them and stepping on one of these with a bare foot is not fun. Also, I felt that the smell control was not as good as the Petsmate lavender crystals which is what I was trying to replace (due to cost). No harm trying it because litter preference is such a personal choice but this was not my favorite and I won't be repurchasing. Also, for anyone curious about the micro version - didn't like that either as I found there was "sand" everywhere because it's so easily trackable.

Amazing litter! To put in perspective how badly I despise *clay* litter....I would rather wear pants made out of steak & walk through a lions den than to ever have clay litter again! The way even the bougie-est clay litter turns into freaking cement when cats pee on it. Nope. Not for me. But this gel litter? Fantastic. It cuts down on smell bc the gel absorbs the urine and then literally all you have to do is scoop the poop. Also, if you want less tracking, or if you have cats that dig an insane amount, get this particular one bc the "pearls" are bigger and track less than the other styles of gel. As for how much you need. A Little cat math for you, lol: So the product description states that you can have one bag for one cat for one month. Unless you have a cat with medical issues who urinates more frequently, I'd say that's fairly accurate bc I have a friend who uses one litter box for 2 cats (one full bag of litter at a time) but replaces every 2 weeks. I personally have 2 litterboxes for 4 cats (one full bag per litter box) and also replace every 2 weeks.

I bought this item by total accident. I meant to buy the soft pearls in the green bag by the same company. These are like shards of glass on my poor Kitty's feet and I know that they're sharp because she tracks them everywhere! This litter is a mess. First of all, it doesn't absorb the urine at all, even if you stir the product with the litter scooper. The urine puddles on the bottom and stinks. She can't bury it properly and gets frustrated and kicks it out of the box everywhere! This is the messiest litter,it's messier than clay. I absolutely hate it! I will never buy it, and never recommend it. I'm surprised that they even sell this given, that the other two litters in this line are actually pretty good the pink one is okay but the one in the green bag (fresh micro) is the best out of all of them. It doesn't make a huge mess. It helps trap and get rid of urine odor, and it actually does stand up for about a month exactly. But try stepping on this litter in your bare feet and imagine what your cat feels like! They discontinue products for hurting children why do they not discontinue products that would hurt pets? It's only been 3 days but I'm going to throw out all of this litter as soon as the one I actually wanted arrives on Tuesday. It's not worth it

I have tried many different cat litters. I finally found one that works well for my cat! This one the odor I can’t smell at all! I do like that it can last for a while, but with my big baby last maybe 15 to 20 days. My cat is also pretty messy so he flings the little crystals out of his litter. Overall, I think as a one cat household this has been the best kitty litter I have purchased. For me, I couldn’t stand the smell of the others. I’ve tried and this one does a really good job with odor control.

Okay, this litter is Pretty. Ill admit, and it looks clean, and its absorbant. It's easy to "Scoop" but it gets everywhere! The cat doesn't even need to be tossing it around. You'll find lil pearls in a whole different wing of your home eventually! I purchased 2 Maine Coons from Russia and was buying nice fancy things prior to their arrival. I purchased 2 of the bags. Micro crystals and the pearls. I ended up throwing out the full box after just a day of the kittens being in my home. Its been about a week and im still finding little pearls in the 3rd level of my home! Everytime I sweep a room I hear the sound of them rolling on the floor! Drives me bonkers! I wouldnt recommend this litter if you have toddlers as even the kittens were trying to eat it when it was rolling around. Again, the litter itself is nice and appealing. But I will not be buying this litter ever again.

So I was using pretty litter which was amazing, but way too expensive for my taste. I went on a hunt for something comparable that was cheaper. Ultra pearls was half the price. I only managed to make it last three weeks instead of four. It was soaked with urine and pretty gross and the crystals were hard on the feet. But it didn’t smell. When I changed it that was a pool Of urine in the bottom of the litter pan. I was reasonably happy with it but still on a quest to find something comparable to pretty N of urine in the bottom of the litter pan. I've been using clay litter and the dust bothered my asthma plus I have an American Bully who was wheezing and rasping from the dust so decided to try this product. Noticed a huge difference immediately in my and my dog's breathing. There is no odor at all which shocked me and so easy to clean. Btw- I am not paid or receive free products for my review and am genuinely happy I tried this product. I admit it costs so much more than clay litter but think about what the dust from the clay litter is doing to your cat and to you. If you love your cat.....at least try this product once and you seriously will not regret it. I have 2 cats and had to dump the litter box of clay litter almost everyday and the smell of ammonia was terrible. I only change this litter about every 2 weeks as the beads soak up the urine and I scoop the poop almost immediately. I buy alot from Amazon and this is the one thing I highly recommend.

I was skeptical and I've only been using it for two weeks, but I have two very smelly cats and there traditional litter was not only dusty but didn't deal well with smells, especially since it's a small area and apartment. The price is a bit tough to swallow, but it has held up to its advertisement. There is zero smell, even when cleaning poop, and it's a bit strange to see yellow beads full of urine, but they really hold in the smell and fluid, but you have to stir it daily. My cats had a long digging session to get used to it, the pearls are bigger than I thought, but the cats really don't mind it. Very light and I'm not sure I'll get a full month, but I won't hesitate to reorder, and highly recommend if you live in a very small space so no smell to deal with.

It does stop the odor but that’s where the good part ends. The little is so large, it renders my sifting cat litter box useless. My carpet is littered with big blue crystals. This is one purchase I regret.

I have recently started searching for a new litter for my cat as she has just this year started urinating A LOT. She's 14 years old so I suspect it's her age. I was using any variety of Arm & Hammer clumping clay litter for the last 14 years and was relatively satisfied with it. As mentioned, this past year my cat started urinating much more, and I was noticing pools of urine in the box every 3 days or so, which lead me to begin my search. I started with Dr. Elsies clumping litter. This litter clumped famously, however I was met with massive heavy chunks of clay each time I scooped. After breaking a litter scoop, I thought I would try crystal litter. I began with PrettyLitter, to see if my cat was sick. She's fine, but that litter only lasted 2 weeks and it was saturated. This litter was my second try at crystal litter. I was hopeful, however, it's been 10 days and the litter is too far gone. I was even realistic about the situation and used 2 bags in the box, knowing my cat goes a lot. I sifted it twice a day every day, and scooped the poops as instructed, however after day 7 I realized it wasn't going to make it. I immediately ordered another brand. It took a few days to arrive, and I definitely should have replaced this litter 2 days ago, but today, day 10, was when I got the new bag. Please note the pictures, with about 1/4 inch of urine in the bottom of the box. This was 2 bags! So, I'm less than satisfied. Note my cat is 14, goes a lot, and I keep the box in the basement (which may be affecting the absorbency due to humidity, however, I do have central air and a humidifier on the unit). Anyway... my search continues. If you have a small young cat who goes a regular amount, this litter might be for you. If however you have an old cat or a large cat, I suggest 2 bags of this litter will last you a week.
