988284 True 800382 Temperature Control Kit 077B6856

This was installed on a True GDM-12 Beverage Cooler. I Installed this with the help of a YouTube video, it went exactly as it was supposed to. It was either Freezing everything, or blowing cool air (not cold), no way to control the temperature. It owes me nothing, I got it from a store that was remodeling, for free in 2005, it was manufactured in 2002 I believe. This was the only thing I ever had to do to it besides replacing the door seal. This thermostat works beautifully, as you can see from the pics, the thermometer registers the ambient temperature when I placed it in the cooler, then gave it a little while and as you can see, it is holding perfectly at 33/34 degrees. Would definitely recommend this thermostat.

Put this on a 2014 True T-72 refrigerator and works great. Maintains temps between 34 and 39 degrees constant. I removed the old thermostat which had the probe in one of the evap coils inside the fridge. The old thermostat would keep the compressor on and would start to freeze everything while on setting 4. Setting 3 would be in the 40-50 degree range, way too warm.I install this thermostat with the wound coil hanging out the back of the evap, towards the back of the fridge so it picks up air temp instead of evap coil temp. Works great. Compressor cycles on only when necessary. I have 2 analog fridge thermometers inside and they always read in the "fridge" range which is a very small window. We'll see how long this lasts, hopefully many years. Stays on setting 4 for perfect fridge temps, fridge is 1/3 full of product.

Says Danfoss 077b3623 on the back. A legit OEM part. Great value replacement. 👍

When our OEM died we bought this. It fixed the issue with our true tpp-60 having way too wide temp swings and not staying below 40F.It was installed as soon as it arrived.Today, almost 3 months to the day, it failed.Cooler failed to stay below 40F even at max coldness.Replaced with another thermostat (luckily I bought 2 at the same time by accident!)Its back to working now.We lost about $50 worth of food but got lucky.Proceed with caution. There's a reason this one is 6x less than the OEM part!

The media could not be loaded. Some people who ordered this product apparently get a refrigerator control. I received a freezer control. When I look at the photos on this listing, it is clear that two different products are being shown as you scroll through the photos. I’m not sure how you go about getting the part that you want. I will be returning mine.I went to the True documentation and confirmed that the part number in the item listing has a default cut in of 37 degrees and cut out at 18 degrees. That seems like a freezer control to me. Mine is holding about 28 degrees with the warmest setting.

My temperature control on my True refrigerator had been glitchy for 6 months off and on. I had bottles freeze and explode on two different occasions and thought that I could fix the issue by resetting it each time. I was wrong. I ordered this and followed the instructions to replace the unit. It was easy to install and worked immediately to keep everything at a set temperature range. It’s been months and haven’t had any issues. Very happy I ordered this.
