The plier is adjustable and has zero gap when closed which gives solid grip and since it is of heavy and quality steel, not likely to get damaged.

Its good quality tool, finish and performance is good, but usefulness is a bit question. Slip joint plier of such small size does not have much practical use. Go for a general plier of same size and a bigger size one if needed.

Review of Stanley vs Taparia slip pliers
Very good quality compared to Taparia make though more expensive. Usually Taparia is of equivalent quality. I had ordered both. But found the finish, the quality and alignment of jaws not up to the mark. The jaws too were loose and slipped easily. Returned Taparia and bought another Stanley plier.
