An interesting story but leaves some unanswered questions
This is the first volume of comics continuing the Tomb Raider stories from after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider game (and presumably leading up to the story of a third, as yet unnamed, future game in the series). The plot is an interesting one, involving a type of mushroom from China rumoured to grant immortality, and coveted by a secret organisation called the Knighthood of the Dark Spore. Lara Croft has become more confident and well skilled by this point, which makes sense considering the experience she would have gained by this point. She also learns a new skill early in this story that becomes useful later on.There are a couple of small criticisms I have though. Firstly, we learn very little about the lore of the mushrooms of immortality. We hear briefly of court magicians of the Han Dynasty claiming to know of the mushrooms' secret locations, but little else. Secondly, the Knighthood of the Dark Spore all suffer from some unnamed affliction that gives them an almost corpse-like appearance. This is a potentially interesting plot point, but as to what this affliction is or why they have it, the story doesn't say. I'm guessing they were hoping the mushrooms would cure them or something but this is just a guess as the story reveals very little about the nature of its antagonists and hardly anything about their motives beyond that they want the mushrooms and are willing to kill for them.So overall, a good story, but it could have revealed more about the nature of what was being sought and of those seeking it.

Review of "Tomb Raider: Spore"
The volumes are better than buying individual comics in my opinion. They are much sturdier and you get all the comics released during that period of time. I waited to start reading these as they are supposed to take place after Rise of the Tomb Raider. This first volume came out recently and I finished the game earlier in November. This particular story didn't have much reference to Rise of the Tomb Raider, just the mention of Trinity and an image from one of the first areas as a flashback. I did enjoy the story though. I have all the volumes which were made before Rise of the Tomb Raider and they were great stories as well. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoy the Tomb Raider games.

An awesome Tomb Raider comics!!!
Tomb Raider: Spore takes place after the events of the console game, Rise of the Tomb Raider. The artwork is beautiful, and this book is a must have for all Tomb Raider fans out there. This book collects all the comics from Issues 1 to 6.The remaining issues (Issues 7 to 12) will be covered in the upcoming book, Tomb Raider Volume 2.I hope this was helpful to you.

Fun, Fast Read
As a huge Tomb Raider fan I devour everything I can get my hands on. I have always loved the strength and indomitable will and heart of the character. This graphic novel carries on the tradition of those loved traits and I found myself enjoying every word. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll stop there. Fun story and true to character.

Uninspired Adventures of Lara Croft
I've enjoyed the new reboot of Tomb Raider the games are good more grounded interpretation of Lara Croft. These comics are not that. It's really a dull adventure with the goal of finding an immortal mushroom. It has no connection to Rise what so ever. At one point Lara takes out a helicopter with a pic axe. With one of the weakest conclusion to the arc with it just ending. A weak read that wasn't an interesting adventure and seemingly having no connection to the games other then the occasional reference.

I love the recent Tomb Raider games where they give Lara ...
I love the recent Tomb Raider games where they give Lara Croft an origin story - as a result, I love that this is a younger, less experienced Croft. While the narrative is a little wonky at times, I really enjoyed the artwork and seeing Lara in her element. I am intrigued enough by the plot to want to know what happens next (although disappointed that no library has any other comics/graphic novels about Lara Croft).

Eu recomendo
