Can a small adult use this as a weighted workout vest? Thank you!

Thanks for the question. We suggest you to get a weight vest specially made for training.

What is in the weight sacks?

Hello. The weight sack is filled with small steel balls.

My son is almost 10 years at 54” and 85lbs. What size should I order since he’s between sizes?

I would go with the children large or adult small depending on his size. If you go through the photos on the item they have a list of measurements to go by. They have Velcro to adjust. Better a little big than small. You can easily adjust for his comfort.
