Even the base cards feel special because of the chrome stock, which makes them stand out more compared to standard flagship Topps. The photography is crisp, the colors pop, and pulling refractors, sepia refractors, and pink parallels adds a lot of variety to the break. Inserts like Future Stars, 1986 throwback designs, and Prismic Power also give you some nice chase cards that display really well in a binder or top loader. One of the big draws of this year’s release was the rookie class, with names like Alec Bohm, Dylan Carlson, Ke’Bryan Hayes, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. showing up in Chrome. Getting a refractor or parallel of one of these rookies feels like a real win, and it’s what makes ripping these boxes so addictive. You never know if the next pack will have a base rookie, a color refractor, or even an autograph if you’re lucky. The excitement is definitely there. That said, the product does come with a few downsides. Like most Chrome sets, the collation can be repetitive, so you sometimes pull duplicates even in a single blaster. The odds of hitting big-name rookies in parallels or autos aren’t very high, so some boxes can end up feeling light if you don’t score anything beyond a few refractors. Boxes came completely crushed. Tried getting support, but the contact provided was Topps themselves and they couldn’t do anything. Contacted Amazon and they just shrugged their shoulders too.
