Amazing!
I LOVE this electronic cutter! It saves me having to hand-cut fabrics when I sew which, in turn, saves me a lot of arthritis pain in my hand. It works quickly and well. The only problem I have is stopping my hand from wiggling, which makes wiggly cuts, but I do better if the pattern edge is on the left when I cut. I love the fact that this is a cordless cutter. It lasted through cutting out a pair of pants and a vest and lining before it needed recharging. Not bad! I wish I had bought this years ago!

takes extra care, but works well for me
I own 2 of these. The first I ordered 2 mo ago from JA's fabric store, the second was used, good condition from Universal Sewing Supply here. I found that they need a little more attention to detail than the average tool. First, plug it in and snug/jiggle the cutter carefully onto the cradle - make sure the red light comes on. If you don't snug it in there well the light will stay green and it will not be charging. But get that red light to come on and leave it overnight to charge before using it. I used the first one for about 3 hours a day actual cutting time, was careful to jiggle it into the charger to get the red light whenever I wasn't actively using it. I cut 4-6 layers of quilter's cotton or 3-4 layers of PUL pretty easily, handled curves precisely & beautifully, WAY easier than scissors, but by the end of the 3 hrs of actual cutting time the battery was too low. It charged up well overnight again, and continued like this for several days. Then the blades became dull (lots of hours, lots of fabric layers), so I replaced the blade - revived it! Follow the instructions precisely. When I changed the blade on the second cutter (used) it didn't have the tiny locking washer on the inside screw. Without that tiny washer the blades acted awfully dull. When I found a locking washer to use on the inner screw it cut beautifully. So precise assembly is essential. I got the second cutter b/c when I use them I use them for many hours in a day. Now that I have two I don't run out of power by the end of the day. But be careful to jiggle those connections into the cradle each time you set it down so the red light comes on, showing that it is being charged. Casually dropping it into the cradle often doesn't work.

Not a good product and NO response from customer service
I bought My T-Fine scissors several weeks ago. The instructions said to charge for 12-24 hours before use. The red light was supposed to turn to green when charging was complete. Four days later and I still had a red light. At that point I used the scissors. They cut pretty well but the battery ran out after 10 minutes. I put them back on the charger and the red light has been on ever since. I wrote the company hoping that they would replaced the unit I got but I've had no response. I'm really disappointed.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE THESE.
I bought these a while back and after using them endless times, I truly needed to write a review. I truly love these.....they work like a charm. What a savings on time, energy and my injured hands. I had one when I was 18 years old. Hey ok that is some 30 plus years ago. I liked them then, but I truly love what they do. I have always sewn most of my life, and have gotten back to doing a lot more lately since my children are grown. I have dual carpal tunnel, dual tendenitis and arthritis in both hands, and have hesitated to sew because I had a problem cutting with scissors. Not any more. I actually love to sew more. You can't go wrong with this product, and I received it rather quickly by the seller. Thank you for this product.

Was great at first, seems to not do the job now...
Initially I was incredibly pleased with my cutter, as I was using it for fabric and it really saved me time! But now, after perhaps two dozen uses, it seems to not cut correctly any more. I'm not sure why, because it doesn't seem to be operating any differently. But it won't cut through fabric, maybe it needs sharpening? Not sure how to do that yet. Overall, it was a spectacular cutter when I first got it, and I'd probably try another one to see if this one just got dull quickly due to user error. For now, I'm going to see what I can do about sharpening it and trying again.

Very nice cordless scissors, great for sewing but doesn't work for all fabrics.
I love sewing and crafts and decided to give these electric scissors a try with the hope that they would to give my hands a break. I really like them a lot, especially the rechargeable feature. They are comfortable to hold, work for either the left or right hand, charge quickly, and last a long time on a single charge. However, they do have some limitations, hence the four stars. I found that they don't work well for cutting fabrics with backing (such as some faux leather upholstery or other felt-backed fabrics) because the backing quickly gets stuck between the blades causing the scissors to jam. I also discovered that they won't work if you use any kind of adhesive to lay out and secure your pattern pieces or use them to cut adhesive-backed stabilizer. The adhesive causes the blades to jam after cutting only two or three inches. I usually use a pattern spray that is only slightly tacky yet the scissors simply can't handle cutting through my pattern pieces. However, I like the scissors so much I'm willing to go back to pinning my pattern pieces in place rather than using pattern spray. As long as you can accept that they have limitations, you won't regret this purchase.

Perfect for someone with arthritis
I ordered these electric scissors for my mom who is finding it increasingly difficult to cut fabrics for her crafts. I tried them out myself before giving to her & THEY ARE FABULOUS! They came fully charged so I could put them to the test right away. I liked them so much I'm ordering a pair for me & my sister. I was impressed with the ease in which they cut fabrics & how comfortable & effortless they were.
