GreaTalent Home Security Door Reinforcement Lock, Childproof Safety Latch

Easy install, locks tightly, when lock it first time , I forgot push lock all the way back , soon I push all the way back , it’s completely lock !! I used on wood door so I could do it myself without ask any help . For metal door I am not sure how hard to drill holes but for wood door , definitely easy of use and fits great . Great value for money .

These have been a lifesaver for our toddler who can open the doors. I like that they are easy install and they install on the inside of the door frame. Esthetically pleasing. Easy to use.

Okay, there is a very short, very rude person in my house who wanders into wherever they want with no regard for anyone's privacy. (Yes the person is two.) So we installed these on the bedroom doors in our home and it has completely solved the rude person problem. They're not like the hotel room ones that usually allow you to open the door a couple inches. The door does NOT open when this lock is properly installed and deployed. I'm even thinking about putting some on the door leading down to the basement so that no person and no THING in the basement can open the door into the hallway and come eat us all in our sleep. Conveniently, this comes in a four pack, so I don't even need to purchase a new one for that! If you have two bedrooms and a front door and a back door you could have them on all of those, which would be great! Of course they're "privacy" locks, but they would do fantastic backing up your regular door locks. Only operable from the inside, of course. I suggest installing them at a different height than your light switches, by the way. A little higher or a little lower. And not at "handle" height, of course. These only work from the "swings in" side of a door, by the way. You COULD install one on the other side, but people would think you're strange. Great purchase. Solid. No ragrets.

I bought four. One for front and garage and two (top and bottom for back glass French door that swings open. Very easy to install. I used a drill but a long nail and Phillips screwdriver will suffice. My door jamb hit metal when I was drilling so I couldn’t use the really long screws but the shorter ones they supplied were fine. I would really recommend this for apartments. It could be patched inside the door jamb very easily when you move. Obviously if you have one door, you can’t use it when you leave. I feel a lot safer from home invasions. My son had someone pounding on his apartment door in the middle of the night. Some man he didn’t know. The man kept trying the door. He called the police twice. They finally showed up after 45 minutes. My other son lives in an older house in a sketchy area. I recommended these to both of them. Our neighborhood is pretty safe but there have been breakins. I put them about 12” from the top. On the glass door about 8” from the bottom also. At least they’d have to break the large pane of glass in the middle of the night so I could grab a “deterrent”. This would also be great when you have small children in the home. Especially if you have a pool or spa in the back yard.

Very nice extra security door reinforcement, easy to install, didnt need to chisel out the wood, not really necessary. Followed directions with guide screw and installed in minutes, works great. I believe I would recommend this for added door security, I cant be certain, because it would require someone trying to break in through my door, and God forbid we dont want that happening.

Great product for home safely / easy to install

Took me a bit to figure out installation, but after I did it went well and offers a welcomed sense of security.
