Used these to hang a large mantel on a rough, split concrete block fireplace. These puppies went right in and did exactly what I hoped they would. The L-Bars are not going anywhere, and neither is the mantel. I just used the right cement drill bit and impact driver to place the plug, and the correct sized screw. Remarkably easy. I gave the rest of the box to my friend who was helping with the installation, and ordered a set of shorter plugs for other projects around the house.
