This was the perfect fix -- my old mini remote/key ended up losing the lock button, so being able to just get this case with the three buttons worked perfectly. I was skeptical, but once it came in a day, I found it to be exactly as represented, and even had the little "mini wings" which didn't show in the post. This one was easy to open, but getting the factory case to open was a little challenging, but with some patience and tenacity, it finally opened, and was an easy process to swap and put the new case together! The mini dealer quoted about $200 to get a replacement.

After I installed the guts and closed up the case, the range on the keyless entry diminished considerably. I have to be right next to the car for it to register.

Received two shells and one of the was cracked. Contacted the seller and they shipped a replacement with no further questions. Can recommend this to those seeking for a replacem.

Doesn't fit Mini Cooper countryman r60 2011

I gave this product 3 stars based on its prompt delivery and appearance, however with that said I must advise those looking to purchase this item to replace an ailing key fob to look at their current key fob and if the battery can be replaced by opening the back, this is not a replacement. I purchased this product to replace the key fob on a 2011 Cooper, apparently Cooper uses various key fob configurations and this product will probably work for the fob that uses a rechargeable battery.
