I am on the run a lot, and I use my knife a lot cutting straps and shrink wrap on pallets of product. The W/S combo really delivers the goods for that, and it does good in that regard. I worked in the meat business for years and all of the butchers used the Norton Tri-hone...they could shave the whiskers from a mosquito. A bit of a learning curve, but once you are there, you will get it. Both units perform well, sometimes you are in a hurry and just have to get things done, sometimes it is rewarding to get whisker shaving.
