Supplemental Hosmart Alarm Sensor (1 Sensor)

I absolutely love my Hosmart motion detector system. They work perfectly and are worth more than they cost imo. I've tried several different brands of motion detectors and security cameras with built in motion detection and I can tell you that these are by far the best band for the buck. The batteries last forever, you literally never have to charge them. There are 4 different distance settings so you can tweak the range to fit exactly what you're trying to use them for. They are very responsive and have never failed any if the tests I put them through. If you're looking for a reliable and well built motion section system then you have found it. The only problem I've had with them, and it's really my fault, is that one of the detectors fell backward and it rained so water got into the detector through the lens, but it didnt stop working even then. I took it apart, displaced the water with alcohol, let it dry and its working like the day I bought it. Overall, I highly reccomend.

I purchased one sensor and one receiver in November. The setup was easy and I installed the sensor on a tree next to our driveway with a couple screws. The sensor is about 500 feet away and 50 feet downhill through the woods. Reception is no problem even with the receiver on the opposite side of the house. Remarkably, I have yet to recharge the sensor. Bear in mind it's gone through a cold Wisconsin winter on a single charge. 5 months and still on the initial charge! The receiver is a little battery hungry, it will go through 4 AA batteries in about 2weeks. I now have it plugged into a USB charger and it's working well without having to change batteries. I'm very pleased with this unit, in fact I've just ordered another receiver. Our driveway is long and the sensor does get triggered by passing deer. With another sensor placed a hundred yards or so down the driveway we will be able to tell if a car is approaching, rather than a random animal passing just the first sensor. We are extremely pleased with this product, and would highly recommend it.

This does not work with receiver bought Aug 2021 even though it is listed on Amazon as a transmitter to expand system. Also it is AA battery powered, not Li-Ion powered as shown in the description. I will not buy from this company again because of lack of backward compatibility and poor item information on the Amazon site.

I have a total of 5 of these sensor and the base station. I have them on 4 sides of my house and a they work really well for vehicle detection, but lack great detection for people at a distance of more than 15'. During the day there are alot of false alarms so we keep the volume off. Not sure why since we get them on the side of the house where there are no trees or anything to set it off. Overall, it's a force multiplier to get the jump on intruders if you have them set up at points of entry like gates or doors. Mostly happy and if you can overlook the shortfalls, then they are pretty good.

Had an older version of this system and one of the sensors acted up needing replacement. Customer support provided a path for me to upgrade to the newest version making sure I was completely satisfied. I will buy again and so should you! 5 Stars!!!

Works fantastic. Caught some methheads within a few hours of installation. Later that evening caught more methheads that had broken in previously and was able to recover some of my belongings. Wish I had them sooner.

I bought an addition sensor for the system I currently have. This company has great customer service (if you have an issue).System has workers great for almost a year.

This is the second replacement unit I tried. Neither one could be picked up by Hosmart base unit. No Tech Support from manufacturer. Online assistance is non- existent. Phone Numbers shown on base unit are bogus.

I think I’ve left a review before but it’s been a couple years and I came to order another addition to the unit for the back 40 trail. We have 100 acres , I reviewed drive alarms and security cams extensively but I don’t leave my wifi on 24/7 so that rules a lot out. So we got an extra couple dogs. The ups guy still made it to my front deck as you will see in the picture …that’s a long way and my dogs should be fired. So we got geese. They aren’t reliable either. So we got guinea hens. They are very loud….but they alert for a car the same as the cat or a turkey vulture so that wasn’t reliable either . We should have just saved all the money and critters and tried these first lol I took a chance on these never thinking they would really work consistently with the 250’ of bush to the road. It does every single time, every car for 2 years in Ontario Canada where we can get crazy snow and low temps. I’ve had to change batteries once I think. Yes they will alert for deer, coyote or my kid walking to the school bus but that’s ok. I want to know what’s coming up and down my lane regardless. It gives me enough time to go to the window or throw my boots on to me the Amazon driver . Plus you can position a trail cam or cell cam in a locked box near the alarm for added security. We also use one on the chicken coop. I will know in the night if something is trying to break in . If I let the chickens and goats out to free range I can just put a piece of painters tape over the sensor to stop it during the day . I am also moving one to our horse run so I know when the pony is coming down and around to the back door for his special feed. I’m tired of running down the stairs to see if he’s there yet. Lots of ways to use these especially in the country for 4 legged, 2 legged, or vehicular traffic .

Was supposed to have a built in rechargeable battery, but it doesn’t and doesn’t link up to base system. Garbage product, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Well made product. Works well with 4 sensors and the base station. Well worth the cost.
